President Vo Van Thuong visits and works in our province

Within the framework of the visit to Ninh Thuan, on June 16, Comrade Vo Van Thuong, Politburo member, President and the delegation had a working session with the Provincial Party Executive Committee on the mid-term results of implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, the Resolution of the 14th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020-2025 and key tasks in the coming time.

Attending the event were comrades: Nguyen Trong Nghia, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda Department; Tran Hong Ha, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister and leaders of central departments, ministries and branches.

Reporting to the President and the working delegation, the Provincial Party Secretary stated that in order to concretize the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, the central Party's specialized resolutions and directives and the Resolution of the 14th Provincial Party Congress into practice, since the beginning of the term, the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Party Standing Committee have issued 22 specialized resolutions, 10 action programs, 6 projects, 45 directives, and 214 plans to lead and direct all aspects of work, closely following the actual situation of the locality, bringing positive results. The scale of the economy increased by 1.3 times compared to 2020 and equaled 79.7% of the set target. The production capacity of some industries increased significantly; many industries and fields had a target completion rate of over 60%. The potential and advantages of renewable energy, processing industry, high-tech agriculture, marine economy, and high-quality tourism are showing positive results, attracting the attention of many strategic investors, mobilizing many social capital sources for development investment, creating opportunities for faster development in the remaining 2 years (2024-2025), contributing to the successful implementation of the set goals.

There has been much progress in the fields of culture, society and environment; administrative reform has seen clear changes; the quality of education has been gradually improved. The work of preventing and fighting epidemics has been effective, the quality of medical examination and treatment for people has been improved; health care policies for the poor have been fully implemented. Social security issues have received due attention, the lives of people in rural, mountainous areas and ethnic minorities have been improved. The work of preventing and fighting natural disasters and adapting to climate change has been proactive. Attention has been paid to the work of building a clean and strong Party and political system; the work of preventing and fighting corruption and negativity has been directed resolutely. Political security has been stable, national defense has been maintained.

Aiming to become a fairly developed province in the region and the whole country, the Provincial Party Committee has determined that from now until 2025, it will continue to focus on building and rectifying the Party, promoting the strength of the entire political system; stepping up the fight against corruption and negativity; proactively preventing riots and terrorism, maintaining political stability, order and social security, consolidating national defense and security. Continuing to promote rapid and sustainable socio-economic development; effectively exploiting potentials, advantages, economic pillars, ensuring social security and effective poverty reduction.

The Provincial Party Secretary proposed to the Central Government a number of development policies on renewable energy, industry and inter-regional renewable energy services in line with the development orientation in the approved Power Plan VIII; pay attention to considering and allowing the province to build new policies suitable to the new situation on specific support mechanisms and policies to support the province in developing its socio-economic development quickly and sustainably, shortening the development gap compared to other provinces in the region and the whole country, supporting the province to invest in basic transport infrastructure projects connecting from Ca Na seaport to the provinces in the Southern Central Highlands.

Giving opinions at the working session, Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia, Head of the Central Propaganda Department, and Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha, proposed many issues to the province, emphasizing the need to pay more attention to the work of building the Party and the political system, improving the effectiveness and efficiency of socio-economic development management, ensuring national defense and security; at the same time, overcoming limitations and difficulties, focusing on exploiting the maximum potential and advantages, attracting investment to develop economic pillars, focusing on developing high-quality education and training human resources to serve the strengths of the province... Regarding the recommendations of the province, representatives of central ministries and branches have provided answers, and at the same time acknowledged and studied them to advise the Government on directions for resolution.

After listening to the opinions of the provincial leaders and central ministries and branches, President Vo Van Thuong commended and highly appreciated the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee for their solidarity, unity, focused leadership, close and drastic direction, mobilizing the entire political system and uniting the people to achieve 11/13 targets set by the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress. The President was pleased that the province's economy remained stable, effectively exploiting potential and advantages; culture and society had many improvements, people enjoyed and clearly felt the development achievements of the province and their lives were increasingly improved; administrative reform, discipline, order, and removing difficulties for businesses were given attention; disease prevention and control work was strictly controlled; health and education issues had many changes; national defense, political security, social order and safety were maintained; The work of building the Party and the political system has been constantly strengthened, the great national unity bloc has been increasingly consolidated... The President said that this is a solid premise for the province to continue to develop rapidly and sustainably in the following stages.

President Vo Van Thuong shared the difficulties and challenges that the locality is actively resolving; at the same time, he suggested a number of issues for the province to focus on comprehensive leadership and direction in all areas. He emphasized the factor of maximizing the potential and outstanding advantages of the locality, uniting all levels of cadres, party members, people, and businesses to compete in labor, production, innovation, creativity, and high determination to successfully implement the province's development plan. In economic development, the President requested that it is necessary to inherit the achievements, promote innovation, apply science and technology, promote digital transformation, green transformation, prioritize industrial development, renewable energy, green technology agriculture and high-end tourism. Continue to improve the investment environment, focus on environmental protection, resource management, proactively respond to climate change. Continue to innovate, improve the quality of education and training of high-quality human resources to serve local needs. Implement well social, ethnic, religious policies and sustainable poverty reduction. Strengthen national defense, raise awareness of protecting the Fatherland and national sovereignty among the people, maintain rural security and religious security, proactively resolve arising issues right at the grassroots level. In addition, strengthen the prevention and fight against corruption and negativity to clean up the Party committees and Party members; focus on organizing the implementation of Party guidelines, strengthen inspection, supervision, mobilization, unite the people, enhance social consensus, thereby creating favorable conditions for the successful implementation of the set goals and tasks.
