Truong Dang Dung is a poet, translator, and literary theorist. He has many literary and artistic works and research topics that are highly appreciated by scientists and many readers. He is the first translator to translate Nguyen Du's Tale of Kieu into Hungarian.
Many philosophical documents and novels were translated by him from foreign languages into Vietnamese and vice versa. In particular, his two poetry collections: “Imaginary Memories” and “You Are My Refuge” became a literary phenomenon highly appreciated by scholars at home and abroad.
On this occasion, he shared with artists of Thai Nguyen province some experiences in creative inspiration; skills in creating poetry. According to him, every poet needs to have a process of learning, self-training, effort to receive, summarize experiences and choose their own path. Because each person has their own thoughts, emotions, and approaches to phenomena and things around them, poetry cannot be confined to a certain formula. Poetry is intelligence, creativity and also has a destiny like humans. The verse allows the poet to overcome his own emotional limits.
