Politburo inspection delegation works with Can Tho, Dong Thap and Soc Trang

(NLDO) - Mr. Nguyen Van Nen - Politburo member, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee - suggested that Can Tho should pay attention to digital transformation when streamlining its organizational apparatus.

On March 19, Inspection Delegation No. 1915 of the Politburo, led by Politburo member and Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen, had a working session with the Standing Committee of the Can Tho City Party Committee.

At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Van Nen evaluated the self-inspection report of the Standing Committee of the Can Tho City Party Committee and the draft report of the inspection team, reflecting clearly and fully the key points of the requirements of the Politburo and the Secretariat. In particular, he clearly stated the aspects that were done, the parts that were not done, the causes, lessons, recommendations and solutions for the future.

"The inspection shows that the City Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the Can Tho City Party Committee, and relevant agencies have demonstrated a deep sense of awareness, consciousness, and responsibility in the process of leading, directing, and organizing the implementation of the Central Committee's resolutions and directives," commented Mr. Nguyen Van Nen.

The head of Inspection Team No. 1915 of the Politburo also noted that political and ideological work is very important to carry out related tasks in the coming time, especially the work of streamlining the apparatus of the political system and administrative units. Evaluating and selecting the right people and assigning them to the right jobs is extremely important.

Regarding the summary of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW and Conclusion No. 121-KL/TW of the Party Central Committee on streamlining the political system's apparatus for effective and efficient operations, Mr. Nguyen Van Nen suggested that it is necessary to organize more drastically and proactively in streamlining the apparatus, paying attention to science - technology and digital transformation. Especially paying attention to policies for cadres affected by the streamlining of the apparatus.

Mr. Do Thanh Binh, Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee, said that the opinions of the inspection team are very meaningful, helping the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee to re-evaluate the work done, clearly see the limitations that need to be overcome, so that they can have higher determination, propose more specific and drastic measures in leading and directing the implementation of the resolutions, conclusions and directives of the Central Committee.

The Standing Committee of Can Tho City Party Committee will promptly, seriously and effectively implement the instructions of the Head of the Inspection Team and the opinions of the members of the inspection team.

Also on March 19, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thang - Politburo member, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, Head of Inspection Team 1914 of the Politburo - chaired a conference to approve the draft report on the inspection results of the inspection team for the Standing Committee of the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee.
