FPT Chairman Truong Gia Binh: Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW is the fulcrum to bring Vietnam into the era of development

On January 15, within the framework of the 6th National Forum on Developing Vietnamese Digital Technology Enterprises - VFTE, FPT Corporation took on the task of mastering strategic digital technology.

The 6th VFTE with the theme “Mastering digital technology, mastering Vietnam’s digital transformation process with Vietnamese digital technology enterprises” was organized by the Ministry of Information and Communications. General Secretary To Lam attended and delivered a speech.

At the event, the Ministry of Information and Communications assigned tasks to digital technology enterprises. Mr. Truong Gia Binh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of FPT Corporation, received the task of mastering AI technology and large language models with General Secretary To Lam and Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung.

Taking on this task, FPT commits to actively implementing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW, researching and mastering digital technology to help accelerate the digital transformation revolution and bring Vietnam to a breakthrough in the new era.

In addition, Mr. Truong Gia Binh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of FPT Corporation, shared about FPT Corporation's journey to the world more than 25 years ago. Through initial failures in India and the US, FPT gradually achieved success, reaching 1 billion USD in revenue from foreign markets. That is a testament to the aspiration to expand the intellectual frontier of Vietnam, from the first challenging steps to making a mark on the global technology map.

According to Mr. Truong Gia Binh, Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW is the fulcrum for Vietnam to enter the era of rising up, to become a powerful country and a prosperous nation. Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW is also an important indicator when the country's opportunity has come. General Secretary To Lam pointed out 4 actions for the State, enterprises, scientists, intellectuals and people; The Government's action program has set out 7 groups of tasks. In the coming time, FPT will carry out 3 points:

Firstly, FPT will invest in core technologies, which are artificial intelligence, semiconductors, automotive technology, digital transformation and green transformation. FPT will strive to make AI chips, focusing on developing automotive software, because cars are shifting from mechanics to software. FPT is working with automotive corporations in the US, Europe... FPT participates in digital transformation, green transformation, artificial intelligence transformation for industries, localities, and for education and healthcare.

Second, in terms of human resources, FPT has 12,000 AI engineers, who have been granted nearly 10,000 NVIDIA certificates in a short time. FPT commits to training 10,000 semiconductor engineers, 50,000 AI engineers, and participating in training and converting half a million IT engineers to AI by 2030.

Third, FPT is committed to investing in infrastructure. The group is building two factories in Vietnam and Japan. In 5 years, by 2030, it will build 5 AI factories globally, contributing to making Vietnam one of the leading countries in the region in providing AI computing infrastructure.

At the Ceremony to announce and award the Make in Viet Nam Digital Technology Product Award 2024, Information and Communications honored the FPT.AI platform - a typical Make in Viet Nam digital technology product in the period of 2018 - 2024.

FPT.AI, a comprehensive Artificial Intelligence application for businesses, has been deployed for more than 200 large enterprises in 15 countries, serving more than 200 million interactions between businesses and customers each month, helping to increase productivity by up to 67% and reduce costs by up to 40% for businesses.
