A term has passed with many changes and challenges, but under the leadership of the Party Committee and the determination of the staff, Luu Xa Steel Plant (Thai Nguyen Iron and Steel Joint Stock Company) has basically completed the assigned tasks. The plant has achieved positive results in Party building and production and business leadership, creating a solid foundation for the new term with higher and more sustainable goals.

In the first months of this year, due to market impact, the output of Luu Xa Steel Plant has not reached its designed capacity; while maintaining the production pace, it has to spend time maintaining, repairing and renovating the machinery and equipment system.
During this time, the Party Committee and the Board of Directors of the Factory proactively implemented solutions to improve production efficiency and reduce product costs. Notably, the progress was accelerated to soon start the project to renovate and convert the electric arc furnace system to the oxygen blowing furnace (BOF) system. This is also an important solution included in the Resolution of the Factory Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term. With high political determination, the Factory strives to complete the oxygen blowing furnace system project and put it into operation in the third quarter of 2025.
Comrade Tran Van Thinh, Party Secretary and Director of Luu Xa Steel Plant, affirmed: The unit's goal is to maintain stable production and business, with growth and efficiency, ensuring jobs and income for workers. We strive to reach 420 thousand tons of steel billet production per year by 2030; industrial production value of 1,155 billion VND per year, revenue of 5,050 billion VND per year; maintain jobs for over 400 workers with an average income of over 10 million VND per person per month.
At the same time, the Factory Party Committee focuses on directing and implementing the work of restructuring the organization, rearranging the apparatus towards streamlining and efficiency in the spirit of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW...; continuing to focus on Party building, building a clean and strong political system, striving to achieve 90% or more of Party cells and Party members completing their tasks well; annually admitting Party members at 3% or more of the total number of Party members of the Party Committee.
To achieve the above goals, immediately after the Party Committee held the Congress (the unit was selected by the Party Committee of Thai Nguyen Iron and Steel Corporation as a pilot in January 2025), the Party Committee organized the study and dissemination of the Resolution implementation plan to all cadres and Party members to create consensus. In production, in addition to implementing the project to upgrade the No. 2 ultra-high-capacity electric arc furnace system to an oxygen-blowing furnace system, the Factory focuses on improving management and corporate governance capacity, maintaining safe and stable production, investing in and innovating technological equipment lines and developing new products.
Following the Congress Resolution and the direct leadership and direction of the Party Committee and the Factory Board of Directors, the 5 affiliated Party cells have also developed resolutions, action programs, tasks and solutions suitable for their units.
Typically, the Planning Department Party Cell, based on each time, establishes and assigns appropriate production plans and provides raw materials and supplies to units in the Factory, ensuring stable production activities. The Electromechanical Workshop Party Cell focuses on leadership and direction based on the principle of clearly defining and assigning specific tasks to each position from management leaders, production organizers to workshop leaders, party members, etc. The Party Cell directs production organization in accordance with the motto of prioritizing key positions to meet the requirements of stabilizing daily production equipment.
There is a common point, unity in the Party Committee is always to uphold the leadership role, promote the exemplary role and responsibility of Party members; promote political and ideological education for staff, cadres, Party members as well as study and follow the ideology, morality, and style of Ho Chi Minh... This helps the Factory always firmly overcome all difficulties and challenges, aiming for development with higher goals.
Proof of this is that in the past 5 years of the term, under the flexible direction and management of the Party Committee, the Party Executive Committee, the Board of Directors as well as the solidarity and efforts of the entire Factory, the unit has basically completed the targets and tasks set for the entire term. Specifically, the total output of steel billets reached 1.61 million tons (105% of the total plan); the average income reached 9.5 million VND/person/month; the rate of Party cells classified as completing their tasks well or better reached an average of 92.6%; 27 new Party members were admitted (over 3%).
It can be said that the journey of overcoming difficulties to achieve the results that Luu Xa Steel Plant achieved in the past term is both a lesson and experience as well as a foundation and motivation to help the unit become more steadfast and confident to achieve and exceed the goals set in the 2025-2030 term.
