Spring souvenirs in the middle of the street
More than 40 years ago, from a small apricot branch, Mr. Dang Thong and his wife (house number 21 Mai Di, Hoa Cuong Bac ward, Hai Chau district, Da Nang city) took great care of and cultivated it, and today that apricot branch has become an ancient apricot tree with lush foliage and brilliant yellow flowers. For the couple, the apricot tree is also a priceless keepsake, witnessing many ups and downs of the family.
"My children have all grown up and settled down far away. The old couple takes care of the apricot tree every day, looking forward to the day the flowers bloom, which is also the time when their children and grandchildren return to gather, bringing with them the warmth of spring," Mr. Thong confided.

After each flowering season, my grandparents meticulously prune, fertilize, and spray pesticides, preparing for the next flowering season. "This apricot tree is a whole world of memories, the heart and soul of my wife and I. Even if someone asks to buy it, we just smile and refuse. Because there are things that cannot be exchanged for money," Mr. Thong confided.
A place to send spring love and keep memories
Under the brilliant yellow apricot blossoms, each person coming here brings their own moods and stories.
“I love the yellow color of this apricot tree, I come here every year to check in. A few days ago, I saw a friend send me a photo taken here, so I scheduled a coffee date with two close friends and then stopped by to check in. Last year, the apricot blossoms bloomed right on Tet, but this year they only bloom at the end of January. But because of that, I get to welcome spring again, I feel like it's a special fate", Ms. Le Thi Tuyet Hue (68 years old, Hai Chau district, Da Nang city) shared.

Ms. Nguyen Mai Hanh (52 years old, resident of Son Tra district) just pointed to the photo taken with the apricot tree last year, recalling with emotion: "Last year, the apricot blossomed earlier, on the 3rd day of Tet I went to the market, saw the apricot blossom blooming beautifully. I stood there looking at it for a long time, luckily a woman passing by the market asked if she wanted to take a photo, so I had a few photos as a souvenir. This year I also just went to the market and stopped by, saw the flowers blooming so beautifully so I stopped to take a photo even though I didn't have time to prepare nice clothes, because I didn't want to miss this moment".
Standing under the brilliant yellow apricot tree, Ms. Truong Dieu Lan (29 years old, residing in Thuan Phuoc ward, Hai Chau district) could not hide her happiness: "This apricot tree is very beautiful and famous, every year when it blooms it makes many people flutter. My husband and I learned about this apricot tree through social networks, seeing everyone taking beautiful photos, we also wanted to come here to capture beautiful moments to put in our upcoming wedding photo slide. We like to take photos of ourselves in places with special meaning, so that later when we look back, we can have memories like our parents did in the past."

Mr. Trinh Van Hong, a neighbor of Mr. Dang Thong and his wife, witnessed the apricot tree blooming every year and shared: "This apricot tree attracts a lot of people to take pictures every year. Now it's like Tet here, always bustling. In the morning, there are young people, in the afternoon, there are women. Everyone wants to capture beautiful moments with this apricot tree. There are many vehicles passing by on the roads here, I always remind people to be careful when stopping by to take pictures on occasions like this."
