Youngest person nominated for Outstanding Young Vietnamese Face

With excellent academic achievements and outstanding activities, Dang Cat Tien - a 9/3 student of Thai Nguyen Secondary School (Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa Province) was nominated in the Top 20 Outstanding Young Vietnamese Faces 2023 of the Central Youth Union.

From “Children's National Assembly President”

During 9 years of study, Dang Cat Tien has had admirable academic and training achievements such as: Second Prize in the " Cultural Ambassador" contest. "National Reading Contest " 2021; Third prize in online English for excellent provincial-level Team leaders;

First prize in the English competition for excellent students at schools; Kim Dong award; National Excellent Team Leader award in 2023; Excellent Team Leader title at the National Children's House Festival in 2022...

In addition, Cat Tien also won the second prize in the painting contest “Step Up to the Youth Union”. She also actively participates in social activities, is a familiar face in many activities for children, education, etc.


Dang Cat Tien as National Assembly Chairman at the mock session of "Children's National Assembly".

With impressive academic achievements, social activities, and a confident and dignified demeanor, 9th grade female student Dang Cat Tien was trusted and selected to play the role of "Chairwoman of the National Assembly" to preside over the mock session of the "Children's National Assembly" taking place in September 2023 at Dien Hong Hall (National Assembly House).

Taking on the role of "Chairman of the National Assembly" at the mock session of "Children's National Assembly", Cat Tien was very confident, brave, and demonstrated professionalism throughout the process of conducting the session.

“I feel very lucky to be trusted to take on the role of National Assembly Chairwoman in the mock session of the “Children’s National Assembly”. This is an extremely special, proud and valuable experience for me” - Cat Tien shared.

To prepare for the hypothetical "Children's National Assembly" session, the young student carefully studied the guidelines, policies, and laws issued by the Party, State, and National Assembly related to children.

In addition, I also seek information to better understand the problems that children are facing, from which I can make comments and solutions to answer questions.

At the same time, Cat Tien has proposed to strengthen education, raise awareness of online safety for children, and integrate this content into curriculum.

Secretary of the Central Youth Union Pham Dang Duy Trang congratulated Dang Cat Tien on her excellent achievements at the 2024 National Excellent Team Leader Festival.

To "Outstanding Young Vietnamese Faces"

In the Top 20 Outstanding Young Vietnamese Faces announced by the Central Youth Union, Dang Cat Tien was nominated in the field of social activities. She is the youngest face and also the only student to make it into the Top 20.

Sharing her feelings when being nominated in the Top 20, Cat Tien expressed her happiness and honor at being loved and trusted by leaders at all levels, teachers, family and the community.

“I know that in the Top 20 nominations, there are many uncles, aunts, brothers and sisters with a lot of age, experience, many outstanding achievements and great contributions to society, so I really appreciate and consider this honor as an opportunity to learn, a motivation to strive even more” - Cat Tien shared.

To achieve the achievements like today is a process of effort, striving and learning of the multi-talented student. In addition to the hours of studying in class, Cat Tien also spends time learning and researching about social issues, practicing more soft skills and foreign language ability.

I actively participate in activities and artistic skills such as drawing, playing the violin, hosting programs...

Cat Tien was supported and encouraged by her family to participate in Team activities, school and local movements since she was young. Her family always created conditions, listened to her wishes, aspirations and dreams, and always accompanied her on every journey.

Proud of her student, Ms. Phan Thi Thao Uyen, Principal of Thai Nguyen Secondary School, said that Cat Tien is an excellent student, an exemplary team leader, a shining example and pride of the school. Cat Tien is always modest and polite to teachers; friendly and sociable with friends.

Sharing about her upcoming plans, Cat Tien said she will try to study and practice to be able to take the English major exam at Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted (Nha Trang City), and further, enter university with a career that she loves.

Cat Tien cherishes the dream of building a home for disadvantaged and orphaned children in the future to partly compensate for the deprivation they have to endure.
