Attending the meeting were Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Hai Quan - Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Council, Director of Ho Chi Minh City National University; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Manh Hung, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee Vo Duc Trong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Van Chien.
Implementing the cooperation memorandum for the period 2022-2026 between Tay Ninh Provincial People's Committee and Ho Chi Minh City National University, from 2022-2024, Ho Chi Minh City National University has trained 327 students from Tay Ninh province in all fields and professions.
Particularly in the field of Health, from 2018 to present, Tay Ninh Department of Health has coordinated with the Faculty of Medicine (now the University of Health Sciences under the Ho Chi Minh City National University) to train general practitioners for the province according to the mechanism of key economic zones. In 2024, the Provincial People's Committee assigned to train doctors according to the address of use for 30 medical doctors at the University of Health Sciences (in 2023 with 26 cases).
Ho Chi Minh City National University has also coordinated with the Provincial People's Committee, provincial departments and branches to train human resources in the fields of tourism, education and training, agriculture; cooperate in scientific and technological programs and topics; receive and transfer research results, and apply science and technology.
Based on the cooperation agreement, the Provincial Party Standing Committee invited the University of Economics and Law to evaluate the mid-term results of the Provincial Party Congress. In 2024, the University of Economics and Law (Ho Chi Minh City National University) will continue to participate in evaluating the implementation of 21 key socio-economic development targets in 2024 according to Resolution No. 68/NQ-HDND of the Provincial People's Council on the socio-economic development plan in 2024 and identify priority areas to develop internal resources for Tay Ninh province to serve the realization of the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress for the term 2020-2025 and the Tay Ninh Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Secretary of Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Manh Hung highly appreciated the results of the coordination between Tay Ninh and Ho Chi Minh City National University in recent times; at the same time, congratulated Ho Chi Minh City National University on receiving the First Class Labor Medal on the occasion of its 30th anniversary.
Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Manh Hung and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Van Chien hope that in the coming time, Ho Chi Minh City National University will increase comments and criticism on policies on building and implementing the province's socio-economic development plan with the goal of striving for GRDP growth of 10% in 2025.
The provincial leaders proposed that Ho Chi Minh City National University continue to support the province in training human resources in healthcare, education, high-tech agriculture, digital transformation, information security and network security, tourism, public management, urban management, e-commerce, finance, etc. Propose that Ho Chi Minh City National University study the establishment of a University Branch in Tay Ninh to meet the demand for high-quality human resources, actively serving the socio-economic development of the province.
Through the meeting, the two sides agreed that in the coming time, Tay Ninh province and Ho Chi Minh City National University will strengthen exchanges and closely coordinate with each other to effectively implement the Cooperation Agreement for the period 2022-2026, ensuring adherence to the practical needs of the province; assign focal points to connect, monitor, and urge the implementation progress, promptly report to the leaders, and at the same time propose mechanisms and solutions to remove difficulties in the implementation process.
Ho Chi Minh City National University supports the province in cooperation, transfer and research of scientific topics; registers the topic "Overview of local human resources" as a basis for orientation and implementation direction.
The province's proposals and recommendations were acknowledged by Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Hai Quan - Director of Ho Chi Minh City National University, and some contents were clarified at the meeting.
