Motivate workers to stay with the business
After Tet, about 95% of workers returned to work, equivalent to 355,870 workers, without any labor shortages or strikes.
Deputy Director of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs - Nguyen Dai Tanh commented: "In general, the labor market quickly stabilized. Most enterprises ensure salary, bonus, welfare and other support policies for employees. The high rate of employees returning to work shows the stability of the province's labor market."
The labor market after Tet has shown positive signs with about 95% of workers returning to work.
One of the practical activities that helps workers feel secure in their work and stay with the company is the attention and care of the Trade Unions at all levels. Previously, in order to support union members and workers in difficult circumstances who have not been able to return home for Tet for many years, the Provincial Federation of Labor organized many practical programs. Typically, free flights, trains and shuttle buses helped thousands of workers return home to reunite with their families and return to work on time.
Specifically, the 2025 Union Flight program supported 50 air tickets for workers from the northern provinces, while the 2025 Union Train provided 250 train tickets for workers from Da Nang and beyond. In particular, the 2025 Union Bus program donated 1,200 charity bus tickets and organized 25 bus trips back to their hometowns along National Highway 1 to help workers celebrate Tet with peace of mind.
Not only supporting transportation, the Provincial Federation of Labor also cares about the material and spiritual life of union members and workers in difficult circumstances. The Provincial Federation of Labor visited, encouraged and presented 250 cash gifts, each worth 1 million VND, to workers in Kien Tuong town and the districts of Thu Thua, Thanh Hoa, and Tan Thanh.
In addition, 96 gifts worth VND 500,000 each were also given to union members at Chung Shing Vina Company Limited. This not only contributed to motivating employees to stay with the company for a long time, but also demonstrated the sense of responsibility and companionship of the union organization in caring for the lives of employees, contributing to stabilizing and developing the labor market.
Efforts to “retain” employees
At Le Nam Production, Trade and Service Company Limited (Duc Hoa District), the human resource situation is stable thanks to the good care policy for employees. The company currently has more than 450 employees. After Tet, although there were changes in personnel, most of them were new employees who had not been working for long.
The manager and President of the Trade Union of Le Nam Production, Trade and Service Company Limited - Tran Thi Ngoc Phuong said that those who did not return to work after Tet had legitimate reasons and had completed the leave application procedures in advance.
Although there are times when there is a shortage of human resources, the company has an effective backup plan. The company uses internal human resources from other departments and divisions - people who have been thoroughly trained in using machinery and production lines to be ready to replace the missing workers. Thanks to that, the production and business process is guaranteed.
Le Nam Production, Trade and Service Company Limited (Duc Hoa district) responded to Ao Dai Week and organized a meeting on International Women's Day March 8
To attract workers, the company posts recruitment information on mass media, hangs banners and goes directly to secondary schools, colleges and universities with suitable majors to recruit.
Ms. Tran Thi Ngoc Phuong added that despite the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic , the Company still maintains welfare policies to help employees feel secure in their work, such as annual salary increases based on seniority; bonuses on holidays and Tet; support for diplomas for skilled workers (support level depends on qualifications); free training for unskilled workers (still receiving 100% salary and receiving additional monthly diligence allowance); organizing free annual travel for employees with seniority of 1 year or more;...
Ms. Nhu Thi Quyen - Employee of Le Nam Production, Trade and Service Company Limited, shared: “Having worked with Le Nam Company for many years, I feel very secure working here. The company ensures full salary and bonus regime, has good treatment policies and cares about the spiritual life of employees. A stable working environment and good welfare regime are the reasons why I want to stay with the company for a long time”.
Not only paying attention to the treatment regime, the Company also focuses on the spiritual life of employees. From the end of June 2024, Le Nam Production, Trade and Service Company Limited coordinated with the grassroots Trade Union to deploy the model of Employee Cultural and Entertainment Corner. Here, employees can read literary books, including many classic works of the world.
In addition, you can look up important information about labor, employment, social insurance, unemployment insurance and policies through the visual information board. This is also a place to store images of the activities of the grassroots trade union and the development journey of the Company.
The Cultural and Entertainment Corner model for workers of Le Nam Production, Trade and Service Company Limited (Duc Hoa district) is a place for workers to relax after work.
Due to the stable production situation and orders after Tet, Thu Duc - Long An Centrifugal Concrete Joint Stock Company (Ben Luc district) temporarily does not focus on recruiting new workers. Chairman of the Company's Trade Union - Ngo Truong Huy said: "The company always cares about the lives of workers through many practical activities. Therefore, in parallel with preparing for the next orders, the company also prioritizes implementing policies to "retain" existing workers."
Thu Duc - Long An Centrifugal Concrete Joint Stock Company (Ben Luc district) organizes monthly birthday parties for employees and union members.
For over 10 years, the Company's grassroots union has maintained a policy of supporting tuition fees for union members' children from grade 1 to grade 12, with a level of 800,000-1.2 million VND/child/year.
Every year (or every 2 years), the Union organizes 2-5 day tours for employees depending on the work situation or travel destination. On holidays, New Year, and anniversaries, the Union organizes many exchange and entertainment activities to help employees relax and have more motivation to complete their work.
The company also organized Tet gifts for all employees, each worth about 1 million VND in cash and 350,000-500,000 VND in gifts. To facilitate employees in difficult circumstances to return to their hometowns for Tet and return to work, the company supported transportation and mobilized benefactors to support 1.5 million VND for employees in difficulty after Tet. Thanks to that, employees have more motivation to stick with the company.
The efforts from enterprises and all levels and sectors not only help workers feel secure in their work and stay with enterprises for a long time, but also contribute significantly to the sustainable development of the province's labor market./.
