In 2024, Phan Thiet City People's Committee coordinated with the Provincial New Rural Area Coordination Office and the Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to organize training and guidance on building profiles for entities, completing procedures for re-evaluation and re-ranking. As a result, 3 entities with 7 products were re-ranked to meet 3-star OCOP standards. At the same time, the city mobilized entities to participate in fairs and exhibitions of agricultural and OCOP products to promote and promote trade.

For new participants in 2024, the Phan Thiet City OCOP Product Evaluation and Classification Council has reviewed 29 products of 16 participants. In this first phase, 8 participants with 10 products were evaluated, of which 5 participants had 7 products meeting 3-star standards. In the second phase, because some participants needed to supplement their documents, the classification was not completed.

At the conference, the People's Committee of Phan Thiet City announced the decision and awarded certificates to 3 entities with 7 re-ranked 3-star OCOP products including: Anh Vang brand anchovy fish sauce of Hoang Ngu fish sauce production facility (Phu Hai); sliced ​​dried anchovy, garlic-fried mackerel, tamarind-braised squid, anchovy with lemon sauce, ready-to-eat grilled goby fish of Dam Sen Seafood Processing Trading Company Limited (Lac Dao ward); rice paper cake of Hoang Lam Business Household (Lac Dao ward).

In addition, 8 entities with 10 new products were recognized as 3-star OCOP, including: Anchovy fish sauce, traditional fish sauce MS40 of Hong Huy fish sauce production facility; Nam Thanh Huong traditional anchovy fish sauce of Nam Thanh Huong business household; 30N anchovy fish sauce of Minh Nga business household (Phu Hai ward); frozen tuna, grilled tuna of Cong Natural Food Company Limited - Binh Thuan Branch (Phu Hai); Thien Nghiep coconut of Thien Nghiep organic cooperative (Thien Nghiep commune).

Up to now, Phan Thiet City has 33 OCOP products, including 22 3-star OCOP products and 11 4-star OCOP products. Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of Phan Thiet City People's Committee Le Van Chon emphasized: The goal of the program proposed by Phan Thiet City is to promote the strengths of traditional, typical products with local advantages on the basis of converting groups of business households and small, spontaneous production establishments into production linkages. For large establishments with brands, create conditions for accessing and applying technical advances in production. From there, change backward production practices, increase the application of scientific and technological advances in production, to meet customer needs in terms of design, price and product quality. The Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee requested our 3-star entities to try to improve their products to upgrade to 4 stars in the near future.
