Tan Chau closes Rappana drum heritage class

On February 24, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of An Giang province coordinated with Tan Chau town to close the class teaching the intangible cultural heritage of Rappana drum of the Cham ethnic minority in Chau Phong.

Awarding certificates to students

The class was held for 1 month, with 30 students attending. Drum artists taught students basic knowledge, usage skills; some traditional drum pieces. At the end of the class, all students met the requirements. Teaching Rappana drums aims to preserve and promote traditional cultural values. Thereby, enhancing awareness of national origin and identity, connecting the community, developing tourism, and promoting local culture.

On this occasion, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism awarded certificates to students who completed the course program.
