Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree said in a televised statement that the two groups carried out a drone attack on two cement tankers and two cargo ships at the port of Haifa on Saturday.

The ship belonged to companies that were “violating the ban on entering occupied Palestinian ports,” the official said. The Israeli military did not immediately respond, although it had previously dismissed a similar claim by the Houthis earlier this month.
Saree also said the Houthis attacked the Shorthorn Express ship in the Mediterranean using a UAV as part of the group's campaign to disrupt shipping on vital waterways in what they said was an act of solidarity with Palestinians in the war in Gaza.
“The two operations successfully achieved their objectives and the strikes were precise and direct,” Saree said.
Houthi forces have launched regular drone and missile attacks on shipping lanes through the Red Sea since last November. So far, they have sunk two ships, captured another and killed at least three sailors.
