(Dan Tri) - Authorities in Quang Tri are coordinating to examine DNA samples to clarify information about the martyr's remains with an accompanying relic, a pen engraved with the name "XUAN DAI" or "XUAN LAI".
On November 18, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Quang Tri province said that the unit is coordinating with functional agencies to conduct DNA sample testing to clarify information about the martyrs' remains at the National Martyrs' Cemetery on Road 9.
Previously, during the process of taking DNA samples at grave number 178, row 9, lot 12, Hexagon area 1, National Martyrs Cemetery Road 9 (Dong Ha city, Quang Tri), authorities discovered a martyr's relic, a pen.

The pen is engraved with a coconut tree, a pair of doves, a pagoda and the words "XUAN DAI" or "XUAN LAI".
According to the collection records, this is one of eight martyrs' remains found by the Dakrong District Military Command (Quang Tri) at Hill 510, Huong Hiep Commune, Dakrong District in July 2000.
The Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Quang Tri province said that biological samples of the martyr's remains have been collected and the dossier has been completed to send for examination.
The provincial Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs also issued a notice to families of martyrs who died at the 510 peak, Huong Hiep commune or in Dakrong district, with related information as mentioned above, to contact the unit to carry out DNA testing procedures.
