On March 1, Can Tho City Youth Union held a ceremony to launch Youth Month 2025, with the theme "Can Tho Youth are proud and confident in following the Party". More than 2,000 young people in the area attended the ceremony.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Diep - Vice Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee - said that in this Youth Month, together with the whole country, Can Tho city's youth show their loyalty, actively study, and the volunteer green shirts will be present on all fronts to contribute to building the homeland more and more prosperous.
"This is also an opportunity for Can Tho youth to demonstrate their responsibility and enthusiasm through practical activities towards the benefit of the community. Departments and branches need to closely monitor and promptly grasp difficulties. At the same time, create favorable conditions for young people to promote their pioneering role, contributing to the completion of the set goals," Ms. Ngoc Diep advised.
On this occasion, Can Tho youths carried out the youth project of the National Flag Road with a length of more than 50km in all 9 districts of Can Tho with a total value of more than 1.75 billion VND.

In addition, Can Tho youth also launched 8 teams specializing in making practical contributions to social security activities towards community benefits, including: Young intellectuals volunteering to transfer scientific and technological advances; Young intellectuals volunteering to build new rural areas; Youth volunteers building civilized urban areas.
Propaganda and introduction of key cultural relics and works; Green generation youth, environmental protection, climate change response; Youth volunteers "competing to complete 3,000km of highways"; Youth volunteers "Join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses" and Youth volunteers "Digital education for the masses".
On this occasion, Can Tho City Youth Union presented 50 gifts, 20 scholarships and 10 bicycles to disadvantaged households and children in Phong Dien district, Can Tho city.
Can Tho City Youth Union received resources from businesses to support Youth Month activities, with a total value of more than 5 billion VND.
