On the evening of August 8, in Thai Nguyen province, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union held the opening ceremony of the first Training Camp for students who are Youth Union officials of High Schools and Vocational Education - Continuing Education Centers in 2023 with the participation of 150 campers who are youth union members from 37 provinces and cities across the country.

At the program, the campers will be introduced to some contents about the professional work of the School Youth Union; skills in organizing collective activities; supplementary skills in psychological empathy, basic survival, public speaking, first aid, conflict resolution, using basic media product design, creating and maintaining Fanpage, using social networks safely, etc.
Campers also participated in activities to learn about historical relics, culture, local people; cultivate theories about the history of the Union, basic issues about the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union; 6 political theory lessons; Resolution of the 12th National Congress of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, term 2022 - 2027, action program to implement the Resolution of the Union. Campers also learned about major movements and programs of the Union; instructed in skills to organize models and movements; teamwork skills, leadership, planning and time management, basic union work.
In addition, the youth union members are also trained in skills of organizing games; building camp programs, designing and organizing campfire nights, practicing camp and camp gate crafts, knots; receiving and transmitting Morse and Semaphore signals; recognizing and drawing road signs; translating and drafting secret messages, determining directions, estimating, etc.
After the training, the program's Organizing Committee will evaluate the results in the form of multiple choice, essay or practice. Campers who achieve 70% of the total score according to the standard and no subject score is below 50% will receive a Certificate of Training Camp. In addition, the Central Executive Committee of the Youth Union will award Certificates of Merit to 3 campers who achieve excellent training results and have the highest total test scores.
The program is organized to standardize and foster professional skills of the Youth Union staff of high schools and Vocational Education - Continuing Education Centers, contributing to improving the quality of Youth Union work and school youth movements in the new situation. At the same time, the program contributes to creating a meaningful playground for delegates participating in the Training Camp; helping young people have the opportunity to exchange, learn, share experiences, knowledge, expertise, and skills in Youth Union work and school youth movements.
The training camp is scheduled to last until August 12, 2023.
