Lang Giang: Donated more than 950 units of blood

BAC GIANG - On August 16, the Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation in Lang Giang district (Bac Giang) organized the 2nd Voluntary Blood Donation Festival in 2023 with the message "Donate blood - Give life".

Leaders of the Provincial Red Cross Society and the People's Committee of Lang Giang district encouraged volunteers to donate blood.

In recent times, Lang Giang district has promoted propaganda and mobilization to raise people's awareness of blood transfusion, arouse the spirit of mutual love and support for community life, and encourage people to voluntarily participate in the movement "All people donate blood". Therefore, this Voluntary Blood Donation Festival attracted more than 1,000 volunteers to register to donate blood, collecting more than 950 units of blood, exceeding the set plan.

In recent years, voluntary blood donation activities have attracted the participation of many people from all walks of life. Up to now, Lang Giang district has organized 27 Voluntary Blood Donation Festivals for community health. Through which, more than 26,000 volunteers have registered to donate blood, collecting nearly 17,000 units of blood, contributing to saving the lives of many patients.
