(NLDO) - On the afternoon of March 12, a Government delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc inspected four abandoned prime land projects in Nha Trang.
Accordingly, the 4 projects include: Tropicana Nha Trang commercial, hotel and apartment complex (Tropicana Nha Trang project) at 40 Tran Phu street; land plot 48-48A Tran Phu (over 3,642 m2 wide); 8,000 m2 area of Khanh Hoa Radio and Television Station (70 Tran Phu) and Bavico Nha Trang Hotel (Ngo Quyen street).
These are projects that the Lao Dong Newspaper has reported on for many years as being abandoned and wasting resources. These projects all have problems related to violations that the Central Inspection and Supervision Agency has previously concluded.
At the field inspection, representatives of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee reported on the situation of projects and prime land in Nha Trang that have been abandoned for a long time.

The Tropicana Nha Trang project of Nha Trang Tropical Company Limited is behind schedule due to problems in the inspection and re-determination of land prices.
This land has an area of over 10,900 m2, the enterprise builds a 40-storey building, including 1 basement, 2 tower blocks with an area of over 6,200 m2, scale of over 1,130 apartments. The project is expected to be put into operation in 2018.
Since 2018, the investor has advertised and signed a contract to sell the apartment, with buyers paying in installments. The investor also committed to handing over the apartment in 2020, but to date it has not been completed. The project is behind schedule due to problems in the inspection and re-determination of land prices.
Tropicana Nha Trang project has sold apartments to secondary investors but is still stalled.
The land plot 48-48A Tran Phu (over 3,642 m2) in Khanh Hoa province was also auctioned but was unsuccessful due to problems with refunding the money to the investor in advance. The province has also sent a document requesting the Central Government for guidance.

The land of Khanh Hoa Radio and Television Station is stuck in the BT (Build-Transfer) payment process. The investor has built a new Khanh Hoa Radio and Television Station, but the 8,000 m2 coastal land has not been processed and has been abandoned for many years.

Bavico Nha Trang Hotel has also stopped operating for a long time. Meanwhile, customers who bought apartments at Bavico Nha Trang Hotel have sent a petition to the Ministry of Defense requesting to remedy the consequences of this project.

It is expected that tomorrow (March 13), Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc will chair a meeting to discuss the current situation and propose solutions to solve problems with abandoned projects in Khanh Hoa.
