Speaking at the opening ceremony of the 11th Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Festival, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc shared that Ao Dai is known as one of the typical traditional costumes, closely associated with the daily life and culture of Vietnamese people through many generations. Despite many changes in style and material, Ao Dai is still always present in the daily life of Vietnamese people. Ao Dai accompanies grandparents to village festivals, follows mothers to the market, follows sisters to work, follows younger siblings to school... becoming a symbol associated with Vietnamese women who are resilient, indomitable, loyal, responsible, yet very gentle and graceful.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc, the 2025 Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Festival with the theme "Vietnamese Ao Dai - Rising Vietnam" will continue the success of the previous 10 festival seasons, continue to honor and preserve the beauty of Ao Dai, spread the quintessence of national culture, contribute to promoting the image of the country, Vietnamese people and Ho Chi Minh City - a dynamic, creative, deeply integrated city but always cherishing and preserving good traditional values.

Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc delivered the opening speech at the 11th Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Festival.

Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc emphasized: "This year's festival is a cultural - tourism event that opens a series of activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South, the reunification of the country, and the development of the City named after beloved Uncle Ho, marking a strong transformation of the city, accompanying the whole country into a new era of the nation. Held in the first days of March, towards the 1985th anniversary of the Hai Ba Trung uprising and the 115th anniversary of International Women's Day, the festival is also an event to honor the beauty and contributions of Vietnamese women in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland, in building families and society."

Chapter 1 "Ao Dai and Songs of the Rivers" with 6 collections, more than 70 Ao Dai designs telling the story of the history of formation and development of the land of Saigon - Gia Dinh associated with the Saigon River. Each Ao Dai is a work of art imbued with cultural identity telling the story of the city.

The 11th Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Festival has the participation of more than 30 guests, celebrities and nearly 60 Ao Dai designers as image ambassadors.

Chapter 2 "Ao Dai and the Fire-Flowered Roads" with 4 collections, 80 Ao Dai designs inspired by heroic and touching legends associated with the resistance war to protect national independence, taking viewers on an emotional journey from the arduous days of war to peace and independence with the participation of veteran uncles and aunts.

Chapter 3 “Ao Dai - Brilliant Colors of Vietnam” with 7 collections and more than 120 Ao Dai designs is like an inspiring colorful symphony, where Ao Dai is not only a national pride but also an everlasting symbol, bringing Vietnam into harmony with the world, receiving the participation of nearly 60 Ao Dai designers from many localities across the country and more than 30 artists, famous people in the fields of economics, education, culture, sports, entertainment... as image ambassadors for the Festival.
