Kien Giang has a new Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee

On the morning of August 27, the People's Council of Kien Giang province, term X, 2021-2026, held its 25th session (special session), electing Mr. Giang Thanh Khoa to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

At the meeting, delegates voted to elect the position of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee. With more than 86% of the votes, Mr. Giang Thanh Khoa, Director of the Department of Planning and Investment, was elected to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the Kien Giang People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

Mr. Giang Thanh Khoa, born in 1974, hometown Vinh Thuan district (Kien Giang), has a Master's degree in construction and a senior political degree. Before holding the position of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Khoa held positions such as: Deputy Director of the Department of Transport; Chairman of the People's Committee of Kien Luong district; Secretary of Kien Luong district; Director of the Department of Planning and Investment.

Also at this session, the Provincial People's Council dismissed Mr. Tran Minh Khoa - former Director of the Department of Finance from his position as a member of the Provincial People's Committee; transferred and appointed him as Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, elected him as Chairman of the Phu Quoc City People's Committee. At the same time, elected Mr. Nguyen Thong Nhat - Director of the Department of Finance, as a member of the Provincial People's Committee.

In addition, the People's Council of Kien Giang province also passed many important resolutions on adjusting public investment capital in important projects in the province's socio-economic development.
