Algerian company invites bids for 2136 containers

As part of its plan to expand its scale, strengthen its logistics capacity and modernize its fleet, Madar Maritime Company, a subsidiary of Algerian state-owned conglomerate Madar Holding, has called for tenders to purchase 2,136 containers of various sizes.

The tender involves four different batches of containers. The first batch consists of 1,036 standard TEU containers, measuring 20 feet in length. The second batch consists of 900 40-foot FEU high cube containers equipped with a refrigeration system. The third batch consists of 100 standard TEU refrigerated containers, while the fourth batch consists of 100 FEU high cube refrigerated containers, used to transport products requiring strict temperature control.

Interested companies need to register on the company’s official website ( www.madar-maritime.com ). Once legalized, companies will receive a link to download the technical dossier. The deadline for submitting bids is April 27, 2025, with the opening of the envelopes by the organizing committee taking place on the same day.

Established in August 2024 with an initial capital of about 30 million USD, Madar Maritime Company specializes in maritime transport and logistics. The company has the ambition to increase the size of Algeria's fleet by developing new capabilities.
