According to initial figures, there are 220 cases, corresponding to 240 plots of land recovered in the project. The roads with recovered land include the coastal road and Phuoc Thang road (Ward 12). Vung Tau has completed the resettlement land fund for eligible people.

According to Mr. Hoang Vu Thanh, Chairman of Vung Tau City People's Committee, the Bien Hoa-Vung Tau Expressway being implemented is an extremely important connecting traffic project between Vung Tau, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province and other important provinces and cities in the region.

Initially, the project was only implemented to Vung Van (Long Dien district). Ba Ria - Vung Tau province has studied and then unanimously proposed to continue investing in the section from Vung Van to the intersection of 2/9 and 3/2 streets of Vung Tau to fully exploit the value of the highway, and the places to and from Vung Tau will be smooth.

According to Mr. Thanh, time is very urgent with a rapid working progress of agencies and units. Vung Tau requested the project investor to closely coordinate with units, professional agencies, and wards to organize working with people openly and transparently.

According to Mr. Thanh, if a household has residential land or a house that must be recovered and is eligible for resettlement land, it is not necessary to write an application. As for households that are not eligible but have housing difficulties, have to move and have no other place to live in the ward, they must apply for new residential land. Therefore, the units and wards have prepared application forms for people who have requests to sign and propose their wishes, saving time...

Longing for consensus

Meanwhile, Mr. Tran Dinh Khoa, Secretary of Vung Tau City Party Committee, said that Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway will gradually complete the traffic infrastructure system to serve the cause of construction and socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security in the Southeast region.

Mr. Tran Dinh Khoa, Secretary of Vung Tau City Party Committee, said that the commitment, all policies, rights and legitimate aspirations of people whose land is recovered will be guaranteed.

When completed, Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway will share traffic volume on National Highway 51A to solve the current overload situation, reduce travel time from Ho Chi Minh City to Ba Ria - Vung Tau from 150 minutes to 70 minutes, which means reducing transportation costs and increasing the volume of goods in circulation to bring higher economic efficiency.

To exploit and maximize the benefits of Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway, the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province has approved the connecting road project to Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway. The starting point of the connecting road starts from Ward 12 (Vung Tau City) passing through Long Dien District to connect to the expressway.

The connecting road is designed according to Vietnam urban road standards with a design speed of 60 - 100km/h. The cross-section is 27m wide with 4 urban expressway lanes and 2 emergency lanes. The construction cost of the connecting road is from the provincial budget, partly supported by the central budget.

According to Mr. Khoa, for Vung Tau, the connecting road to Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway is of special importance to the socio-economic development and improvement of people's living needs. First of all, the formation of the connecting road to Vung Tau with Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway will break the long-standing monopoly of National Highway 51 connecting Vung Tau with localities outside the province.

“The implementation of the project connecting Vung Tau with Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway is an important and urgent task. The specific task is to complete the land acquisition of 299 organizations and individuals to hand over the site to the construction unit in July, with a total land area to be acquired of 26.1 hectares in Ward 12,” said Mr. Khoa.
