According to the plan, about 1,700 tourists, of which 85% are Japanese tourists, will arrive on a chartered ship at Ha Long International Passenger Port, Bai Chay Ward, Ha Long City on the morning of April 30, 2025.
This is the first time a cruise ship has been chartered to take tourists from Japan to Vietnam by Peace Boat - a famous Japanese cruise ship tour operator.
Talking to Lao Dong while inspecting preparations at Ha Long International Passenger Port, Bai Chay Ward, Ha Long City on the afternoon of March 12, Mr. Toda Yoshiaki - Director of Cruise Tourism of Peace Boat - said that the reason for choosing Ha Long as the only stop on this journey is because Ha Long Bay is so beautiful, famous and Japanese tourists all want to visit.
Mr. Toda Yoshiaki also revealed that the unit tried to arrange for the ship to arrive in Ha Long Bay on an important day in Vietnam.
“Can you explain about the 'important day'?”.
Responding to Lao Dong's question, Mr. Toda Yoshiaki said: "We know that April 30 is Vietnam's Southern Liberation and National Reunification Day. The ship departed on April 20 in Kobe, Japan and stopped at several ports before arriving in Ha Long on the morning of April 30. I don't know if the tourists on the ship know about this holiday or not, but before the ship enters Vietnam's territorial waters, we will introduce it to the tourists. That day, tourists will definitely witness many special activities in Vietnam."
