TPO - The house was renovated, doubling its area to meet the living needs of a young family with three small children.
The property is tucked away from the main road on a flag-shaped plot of land, surrounded by traditional suburban homes. |
The original house was approximately 1,500 square feet and after renovation has a total area of approximately 2,880 square feet with three bedrooms and two bathrooms located on a 1/3 acre lot. |
Natural wood ceiling system brings the original beauty of nature. |
The interiors are all custom designs that were utilized and integrated into the new design. |
The original concrete brick walls from the previous house were kept to honor but not overwhelm the old design. |
The space for relaxation and conversation is highlighted by a large sofa in the same color as the ceiling, creating a connection. In addition, the clerestory window system helps create a light, balanced feeling for the space. |
A master bedroom is hidden behind a new concrete panel wall. |
The cleverly designed built-in cabinet system makes the house feel more spacious. |
The small bedroom for children is arranged in bright colors, accented with dark-toned furniture. |
The bathroom area has large glass windows overlooking the small garden while still ensuring privacy. |
The kitchen space is highlighted by a brightly colored mini bar. |
With its spider-shaped roof and unique gutters, the house is a complete package. The roof beams are designed to slope down at the midpoint and then an extension is added at the back that runs the entire length of the house. This opens up the ceilings in the kitchen and bedrooms which are quite dark. |
Every angle of the house is carefully considered to face the green space outside. |
