Spending 7 million VND to play ring toss, a man won a luxury car worth 5.9 billion VND.


On February 14, a man won a luxury car worth 1.7 million yuan (5.9 billion VND) after spending 2,000 yuan (7 million VND) playing ring toss for 3 hours.

According to the South China Morning Post (SCMP), the top prize at a game stall in a night market in Henan, China is a Maserati, in addition to many other prizes such as cows, sheep and other animals.

To win, the man had to throw a ring at a pole on the roof of a luxury car.

The winner, surnamed Wang, traveled from Shandong Province to Henan to play the game and shared a video of him playing and winning the prize on Douyin.

Mr. Vuong spent 2,000 Yuan (7 million VND) to buy the ring and played for nearly 3 hours, tossing nearly 8,000 rings before winning a luxury car.

“I have thrown thousands of hoops, and my hands are still a bit sore,” said Mr. Vuong. “At first, I just tried it, and I think my success was mainly due to luck.”

Mr. Vuong said he plays basketball and often plays hoops at night markets.

"I often play ring toss at night markets. I often win something. For example, during the Lunar New Year, I spent 150 yuan (528 thousand VND) on the game and won 6 geese," the man added.

In 2021, Mr. Vuong became famous on social media with a video showing off his ring tossing skills, attracting more than 500,000 views.
