On February 26, in Hanoi, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh received Comrade Sun Weidong, Deputy Foreign Minister of China, who is visiting Vietnam and attending the second ASEAN Future Forum.
At the reception, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh conveyed greetings and best wishes from General Secretary To Lam, President Luong Cuong and other key Vietnamese leaders to General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping, Premier Li Cuong and other key Chinese leaders. The Prime Minister welcomed, highly appreciated and believed that the participation of the Chinese delegation would make positive contributions to the success of the ASEAN Future Forum.
Based on the positive developments in the development trend of Vietnam-China relations in recent times, the Prime Minister hopes that the two Ministries of Foreign Affairs will further promote their role as standing agencies of the Steering Committee for Bilateral Cooperation. Vietnam and China promote high-level and all-level exchanges between the two Parties and countries; coordinate cooperation in various fields, especially the implementation of infrastructure connection projects, including early concrete progress in the construction of the Lao Cai-Hanoi-Hai Phong standard gauge railway project; accelerate exchanges to soon sign Protocols on the export of Vietnamese agricultural products to China; effectively implement friendly exchange activities between the people of the two countries, especially the young generation.
The Prime Minister also hopes that both sides will seriously implement the high-level common perception, control disagreements well, and maintain peace and stability at sea.
Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister Sun Weidong expressed his agreement with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's instructions on promoting relations between the two Parties and two countries.
The Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister affirmed that the Party and Government of China always consider relations with Vietnam a priority in China's neighborly diplomacy; the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs is willing to closely coordinate with the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, implement the common perceptions of the high-ranking leaders of the two Parties and two countries, promote further deepening cooperation in all fields, contributing to deepening the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership and the China-Vietnam Community of Shared Future with strategic significance, making it increasingly effective and substantive, bringing practical benefits to the two countries and peoples.
