At the ceremony, Kien Giang Provincial Police signed a record of handing over state management tasks: Regarding drug addiction treatment and post-drug addiction treatment management from the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs of Kien Giang province; regarding testing and granting driving licenses from the Department of Transport of Kien Giang province; regarding criminal records and providing public services to issue criminal records from the Department of Justice of Kien Giang province; regarding ensuring information security from the Department of Information and Communications of Kien Giang province; regarding ensuring aviation security from Rach Gia Airport.

From March 1, 2025, the Provincial Police force will undertake the above 5 new tasks. This is the concretization of the Party and State's policy on continuing to innovate and streamline the political system's apparatus to be streamlined and operate effectively and efficiently in accordance with the spirit of Resolution 18-NQ/TW of the Party.
