Building culture and people of Dong Thap for comprehensive development

DTO - In recent years, Party committees and authorities at all levels in the province have focused on leading and directing the implementation of Conclusion No. 76 of the 12th Politburo on continuing to implement Resolution No. 33 dated June 9, 2014 of the Party Central Committee on building and developing Vietnamese culture and people to meet the requirements of sustainable national development.

Performing arts activities contribute to meeting the cultural and spiritual enjoyment needs of all classes of people in the province.

Party committees and authorities at all levels in the province have led and directed the implementation of Resolution No. 33 in line with the actual situation in the locality. In particular, focusing on implementing the tasks of Resolution No. 33 such as: building Dong Thap people to develop comprehensively; building a healthy cultural environment; building culture in politics and economics; improving the quality of cultural activities...

To specify the tasks of Resolution No. 33, the Provincial Party Committee, term XI, issued Resolution No. 06 on building a culture and people of Dong Thap that are affectionate, dynamic and creative. Local levels, sectors and socio-political organizations have organized many practical activities, contributing to building a culture and people of Dong Thap that develop comprehensively. Notably, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of the province, with its core role, has promoted propaganda and mobilized young people to promote the spirit of "Proud citizens of the Land of Pink Lotus"; well organized revolutionary action movements, especially the youth volunteer movement... Thereby, contributing to educating traditions, patriotism, forming a positive lifestyle, arousing the desire to contribute and the responsibility of young people in building the homeland of Dong Thap to develop.

At the same time, the province is interested in synchronously building 3 cultural environments: family - school - society; implementing the Project "Building a culture of behavior in schools for the period 2019 - 2025" in the province with the goal of changing the awareness of cultural behavior of managers, teachers, staff, students and trainees to develop capacity, perfect personality, cultural lifestyle; build a healthy and friendly school culture; improve the quality of education and training. Promote the implementation of the Project to build a learning society for the period 2021 - 2030, develop models: family, clan, community, unit, learning citizen to encourage the spirit of learning, lifelong learning among the people. Improve office culture, build a culture of behavior, working style, standards of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers.

In addition, all levels, sectors, socio-political organizations and localities focus on building a healthy cultural environment. The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and its affiliated units have well implemented cultural and artistic activities to serve the needs of art enjoyment and improve people's spiritual life on annual holidays and anniversaries. Mass physical education and sports have developed, with more and more people participating in regular physical education and sports. The movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" has spread more and more strongly and attracted the participation of all classes of people. The movement to build cultural families, cultural hamlets, exemplary communes, wards and towns in the province has been maintained; the implementation of civilized lifestyles in weddings, funerals and festivals in the province has been ensured. In the period 2014 - 2023, the rate of families meeting the cultural family standards of the province reached an average of 91.68%, and in 2024 alone it reached 95.57%.

The management and organization of festivals are ensured, contributing to promoting the good traditional cultural values ​​of the nation, serving the spiritual life of the people well; the system of cultural institutions has been effectively promoted to promptly meet the living, studying and spiritual cultural needs of the people, creating a healthy cultural environment to promote the socio-economic development of the province in the new situation. With the attention and leadership of the Party Committees and authorities at all levels in implementing Resolution No. 33, many important results have been achieved, helping the province effectively carry out the construction and development of Dong Thap culture and people to meet the requirements of sustainable development of the country.

Promoting the achieved results, Party committees and authorities at all levels continue to lead and direct the serious implementation of Resolution No. 33 of the Party Central Committee, Resolution No. 06 of the 11th Provincial Party Committee, focusing on strengthening propaganda and raising awareness in the Party, the political system and the whole society about the importance of the cause of cultural and human development. At the same time, pay attention to improving the effectiveness of State management of culture; building a healthy cultural environment in the fields of economic, political and social life; building Dong Thap people to develop comprehensively, with humanity, dynamism, creativity, and harmoniously combining traditional and modern values; increasing investment resources for the cultural sector and improving the quality of the cultural workforce.
