The international training cooperation program opens up opportunities for students to study abroad at a reasonable cost. However, how to choose a standard and suitable program in the 2025 enrollment season is a question that candidates are interested in.
Joint training programs with universities around the world are a form of studying to obtain an international degree. According to statistics from the Ministry of Education and Training, as of July 31, 2024, the country has 544 programs evaluated and recognized as meeting international standards at 62 educational and training institutions.
International training joint programs open up opportunities for students to obtain international degrees at lower costs than studying abroad. Therefore, these programs are becoming a popular choice for many candidates.
In response to learners' needs, according to research, many universities are currently promoting joint training programs with traditional training majors that have strengths.
For example, the Academy of Finance has a joint training program for a regular university degree – DDP, a 4-year concentrated training program. This is a joint program between the Academy of Finance (International Training Institute) and the University of Greenwich (UK). The program started enrolling students in 2016, has 5 graduating classes and is currently the 10th class with 120 targets.
At the International School - Vietnam National University, Hanoi, according to the expected university enrollment information for 2025, the school has 2 dual degree training majors from Vietnam National University, Hanoi and foreign partners, which are Marketing and Management; 2 training programs with degrees granted by foreign partners, which are Management and Hotel, Tourism and Event Management.
In 2025, the University of Commerce plans to have 2 more international dual degree programs in Marketing and Business Administration, and 1 advanced technology transfer program.
International joint training programs are becoming a trend of choice for many candidates. However, choosing a standard and suitable joint training program in the 2025 enrollment season is a question that many candidates are interested in.
Nguyen Ngoc Bich, a 12th grade student at Nguyen Trai High School (Ba Dinh District, Hanoi), said she is looking into some international training programs because she has an advantage in foreign languages.
However, Bich, like many other students, is concerned about tuition fees and job opportunities when choosing an international training program.
Regarding this issue, in an interview with the reporter of Dai Doan Ket Newspaper, Dr. Trinh Thanh Huyen - Director of the International Training Institute, Academy of Finance said that one of the biggest advantages of students studying the international training joint program is to have 2 degrees after graduation. For example, with the school's DDP program, graduates will have 1 regular Finance - Banking degree, specializing in Corporate Finance from the Academy of Finance and 1 Accounting - Finance degree granted by the University of Greenwich (UK).
In addition, students are exempted from studying and taking all 9 F subjects (from F1 to F9) in the framework of the exam to obtain the ACCA global accounting and auditing certificate, with a minimum IELTS output of 6.0. Therefore, according to Ms. Huyen, job opportunities for students graduating from the international training cooperation program are very open.
Giving advice to candidates at this time, Dr. Trinh Thanh Huyen noted that in addition to striving to achieve good results in the upcoming high school graduation exam, students should try to achieve the highest high school transcript score. In addition, possessing international language certificates is also an advantage in admission to each school.
Giving advice to candidates in choosing a major, Deputy Minister Hoang Minh Son noted that they need to carefully consider based on their passion, ability and the practical needs of society in the future. At the same time, they should proactively equip themselves with necessary skills such as foreign languages, digital skills, critical thinking and a spirit of lifelong learning to continuously improve.
