Quang Binh strives to complete the elimination of 2,154 temporary and dilapidated houses by August.

On March 20, information from the Standing Committee of the Steering Committee for Eliminating Temporary and Dilapidated Houses in Quang Binh Province said: Up to now, the whole province has had 1,160 houses started construction (635 newly built houses, 525 renovated and repaired houses), reaching a construction commencement rate of 74.7%. There are 315 houses completed (58 newly built houses, 257 renovated and repaired houses).

In the province, there are still 393 households that have not started construction (190 households building new houses, 203 households renovating and repairing). Of these, 84 households (46 households building new houses, 38 households renovating and repairing houses) have not been able to do so due to many objective reasons, accounting for 5.4%. These households are mainly concentrated in Minh Hoa district (57 households) and Tuyen Hoa district (14 households).

In addition, according to reports from localities, there are currently 80 households requesting to adjust their support needs, of which 72 households request to change from renovation and repair to new construction; 8 households request to change from new construction to repair and renovation.

In general, households building new houses are supported with a total of 80-90 million VND/house. Households repairing and renovating their houses are supported with a total of 40-45 million VND/house.

In addition, localities have called for socialized resources of more than VND 2.97 billion and mobilized more than 4,595 working days and 65 tons of cement. Households have contributed more than VND 13.34 billion and 1,253 working days to implement the program.

Mr. Le Ngoc Quang, Secretary of the Quang Binh Provincial Party Committee, requested that in order to ensure the program "reaches the finish line" as scheduled, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations; departments, branches, units, and localities should step up propaganda work, create a vibrant competitive atmosphere, and strive to complete the elimination of 2,154 temporary and dilapidated houses in the province by August 2025.
