On the afternoon of March 20, in Hanoi, Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Tran Viet Truong visited the Lao Embassy in Vietnam and congratulated the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (March 22, 1955 - March 22, 2025).
On behalf of the Standing Committee of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Vice President Tran Viet Truong sent his best wishes to Ambassador Khamphao Ernthavanh and all leaders and staff of the Lao Embassy in Vietnam.
Vice President Tran Viet Truong affirmed that over the past 70 years, under the wise leadership of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, the Lao people have overcome countless difficulties and achieved great and historic victories in the struggle for national liberation, and in building and defending the Fatherland.
In particular, after 40 years of implementing the renovation policy initiated and led by the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, the Lao people have achieved great, comprehensive and historic achievements. The socio-political situation is stable, the economy is growing, people's lives are constantly improving, national defense and security are maintained, foreign relations are expanding, the role and position of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and the Lao People's Democratic Republic are increasingly enhanced in the international arena.
“The Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Vietnamese people are extremely pleased, highly appreciate and warmly congratulate the great achievements and victories that the Lao People's Revolutionary Party has achieved over the past time. The achievements of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party are not only of profound significance to the cause of building, protecting and developing Laos but also a great source of encouragement and motivation for the Party, State and people of Vietnam in the cause of renovation, construction and protection of the Fatherland”, Vice President Tran Viet Truong shared and affirmed that the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Vietnamese people believe that, promoting the glorious tradition and achievements, the Party, State and people of Laos will continue to gain many new and greater achievements in the cause of renovation, successfully implementing the Resolution of the 11th Congress of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, successfully organizing Party Congresses at all levels, towards the 12th National Congress of the Party at the beginning of the year. By 2026, successfully build a peaceful, independent, democratic, unified and prosperous Laos according to socialist goals.
Vice President Tran Viet Truong emphasized that the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Vietnamese people are extremely pleased to see that, along with the important achievements that the two Parties, two States, two Front organizations and the people of the two countries have achieved in the past time, the great friendship, special solidarity, loyalty, purity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos founded and forged by the great President Ho Chi Minh and President Kaysone Phomvihane and President Souphanouvong, and cultivated by generations of leaders of the two Parties, two countries, two Front organizations and the people of the two countries, have been constantly consolidated and developed, becoming increasingly deeper, practical and effective in all fields, making a practical contribution to the cause of innovation, construction and protection of the Fatherland of each country.
On this important occasion, Vice President Tran Viet Truong expressed his deep gratitude for the great, valuable, wholehearted, righteous and effective support and assistance that the Lao Party, State and people have given to the Vietnamese Party, State and people during the past struggle for national liberation, as well as in the cause of renovation, construction and protection of the Fatherland today.
The Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Vietnamese people will do their utmost together with the Central Committee of the Lao Front to build the country and the Lao people to forever preserve and constantly cultivate the special solidarity relationship between Vietnam and Laos to increasingly develop to new heights, for the benefit of the people of each country, for peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world.
“May the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, two States, two Front organizations and people of Vietnam and Laos be forever green and sustainable,” said Vice President Tran Viet Truong.
On this occasion, Vice President Tran Viet Truong also conveyed the best wishes of Politburo member, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien to Politburo member of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Lao Front for National Construction Sinlavong Khoutphaythoune, his family and all cadres and party members of the Lao Front for National Construction.
Thanking the sentiments and best wishes from the leaders of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Ambassador Khamphao Ernthavanh thanked the Party, State and people of Vietnam for always supporting and sharing with the Lao people in the most difficult times, which is the sincere and wholehearted help that Vietnam has given to Laos. Ambassador Khamphao Ernthavanh said that the Laos-Vietnam relationship is a loyal and pure relationship; at the same time, he affirmed that he will continue to be a bridge to foster the special relationship between Laos and Vietnam to develop more and more firmly.
