On March 20, an article was circulated on social media with the following content: "A stray dog entered Kien An High School (Hai Phong) and was caught by the security guards, tied up by all four legs, and muzzled, very brutally. When students discovered it and complained, the security guards said 'the dog is for slaughter', then the school security guards took the dog to a dog meat shop. These students wanted to save the dog but did not know what else to do, so they posted it online...".
After 4 hours of appearing on social media, the post had more than 2,300 likes, nearly 500 shares and nearly 1,000 comments. Many people thought that the actions of the Kien An High School security guard were wrong and demanded that it be handled.
Regarding the above issue, a representative of the Board of Directors of Kien An High School said that the content posted on social networks did not reflect the true nature of the incident.
According to the Board of Directors, the dog did not stray into the school but was bought by Mr. NDG (school security guard) on the street from a person (identity unknown) at noon on March 18 for 1 million VND. Mr. G.'s purpose was to buy it to butcher because he saw the seller selling it at a cheap price. The dog's legs and mouth were tied by the seller, not Mr. G.

At noon that same day, after buying the dog, because it was not yet time to leave work, Mr. G. left the dog in the school parking lot and some students took pictures and posted them on social media. The incident then received many mixed opinions, causing a stir in public opinion.
In the evening, Mr. G. brought the dog to a dog meat business with the intention of having it butchered. However, someone later claimed to be the dog's owner, so Mr. G. took him there to get the dog back.
"There is no such thing as the school security guard stealing dogs to bring into the school, it is just a matter of buying and selling when seeing the cheap price. Mr. G. has made a report to the Board of Directors and the Ngoc Son Ward Police for clarification. In addition, Mr. G. also learned from his experience in buying dogs and bringing them into the school and promised not to repeat the offense," said a representative of the Board of Directors of Kien An High School.
Regarding the above issue, Kien An district leaders said they are asking Kien An High School to report on the incident.
