At the press conference held on the afternoon of October 14, Mr. Pham Minh Tuan, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, said that the art exchange program "Towards the borders, seas and islands of the Fatherland" is one of 8 activities to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Fund's establishment, broadcast live on HTV1 channel.
Through songs and melodies about the sea and islands, about love for the homeland performed by singers who have been to Truong Sa, the southwestern islands of the Fatherland, and with the participation of soldiers of the border guard and navy, the program aims to contribute to strengthening the close relationship and solidarity between the army and the people.
In addition to this art program, in 2024 there will be many practical and diverse activities towards the borders and islands of the Fatherland. Specifically, the program "One million trees for the Fatherland's seas and islands, for a green Vietnam" for the period 2024-2030; the journey "For the homeland's seas and islands - For the Fatherland's frontline" with the theme "Towards DK1 Platform"; an exhibition of paintings and photos with the theme "For the homeland's seas and islands - For the Fatherland's frontline"; "Armed forces come to the relics, scenic spots and people of Ho Chi Minh City" ...
From 2013 to present, the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Fatherland Front Committee in coordination with the City Television Station organized the art exchange program "Towards the borders, seas and islands of the Fatherland" which received more than 515 billion VND and spent more than 470 billion VND to support the lives and work of officers, soldiers and people in border areas and islands.
