Korean women's volleyball results 3/20: Bich Thuy missed the chance to compete with a legend

On the afternoon of March 20, the GS Caltex Seoul Kixx women's volleyball club had its final match of the 2024/2025 season against Hungkuk. GS Caltex Seoul Kixx has Vietnamese athlete Tran Thi Bich Thuy while Hungkuk has the greatest athlete in the history of Korean women's volleyball - Kim Yeon Koung.

However, due to the nature of the match not affecting the position of the two teams on the rankings, Hungkuk Club did not arrange for Kim Yeon Koung to play and sent out the reserve team.

Meanwhile, GS Caltex Seoul Kixx also only used Bich Thuy in the first half before replacing the entire lineup in the following rounds. With the confrontation of 2 reserve teams, GS Caltex Seoul Kixx easily won 3-0 (25-23, 25-17, 25-21). Bich Thuy, although only playing the first half, also contributed 2 points.

With this result, GS Caltex Seoul Kixx finished the season in 6th place overall with 39 points after 36 matches. Hungkuk finished the round-robin stage as the group leader (81 points) and will wait for their opponent in the final match to compete for the championship.

The match on the afternoon of March 20 was also Bich Thuy's last match in Korea. Tomorrow, this middle blocker will return to Vietnam to participate in the Vietnam National Women's Volleyball Championship.
