At the conference, the new soldiers were informed by the reporter of Naval Region 5 about the basic contents about the position, role and importance of Vietnam's seas and islands in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland; the current situation in our country's seas; the role of the Vietnam People's Navy in managing and protecting the sovereignty of seas and islands and the responsibility of Navy officers and soldiers in performing assigned tasks.
On this occasion, new soldiers also learned about the journey of building, fighting, winning, growing and developing of the Vietnam People's Navy; the typical feats and achievements of the Navy and Region 5 in managing and protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.

This is a meaningful activity, aiming to raise awareness, responsibility, foster revolutionary ideals, love for the sea and islands for the young generation, thereby arousing national pride, strengthening confidence, encouraging and motivating new soldiers to work with peace of mind, actively strive, study, train, and complete assigned tasks well, contributing to building a strong, comprehensive, exemplary, and typical unit, firmly protecting the sacred sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.

Private Quach Chol, a soldier of Platoon 1, Company 25, Battalion 563, Naval Region 5, confided: “The information provided by the reporter is diverse, concise, and easy to understand, including many contents that I have heard for the first time. This is truly very useful information, helping me understand more about the sea and islands of my homeland and the contributions and sacrifices of previous generations, thereby raising awareness and responsibility in performing assigned duties and tasks.”
