Previously, at 8:15 p.m. on March 19, the two fishing boats were fishing with a trawl net at sea when their engines and rudders broke down and they drifted about 36 nautical miles southeast of Son Tra, Da Nang city.
Due to the influence of the monsoon, the weather at sea is very bad at this time, the sea is rough, the Northeast wind is strong at level 5-6, gusting to level 7, communication and access to fishing boats are very difficult.
Immediately after receiving information from the Navy Command, at 8:00 a.m. on March 20, the Navy Region 3 Command dispatched Ship 368, which was performing a mission at sea, to urgently move to the area to organize a search for the distressed fishing boat.
At 10:00 a.m. the same day, Ship 368 successfully approached the two ships, which were now about 15 nautical miles southeast of Cu Lao Cham Island, Quang Nam Province. Immediately afterwards, officers and soldiers of Ship 368 quickly deployed a plan to tow the fishing boats back to shore. Currently, the health of the fishermen on the two fishing boats in distress is stable.
It is expected that at 8:00 a.m. on March 21, Ship 368 will tow ships DNa 91095 TS and DNa 91282TS to Da Nang Military Port.
Ships DNa 91095 TS and DNa 91282TS owned by Mr. Nguyen Phuong Binh, born in 1975, residing in Da Nang city, with 8 fishermen on board, departed on March 9 at Man Quang Border Control Station.
