Effectiveness of policies to support people to work abroad

Labor export has now become a way to escape poverty and develop the economy chosen by many workers. Foreign currencies sent back from labor export help many families have capital to develop the family economy, improve the quality of life, and contribute positively to the development of the local economy and society.

Having access to a capital of 170 million VND from the Social Policy Bank under Resolution 07 of the Provincial People's Council regulating the loan policy to create jobs for workers and support some expenses for workers working abroad under contracts in Vinh Phuc province in the period of 2022-2025, the family of Ms. Nguyen Thi Dan, Nam Viem ward, Phuc Yen city boldly sent her son to work abroad in Japan. Ms. Dan said that without this capital, with the economic situation of the family, it would be very difficult to arrange enough money for her son to work abroad.

According to Resolution 07, workers who work abroad for a fixed term and reside for 6 months or more in Vinh Phuc province will be supported with some expenses and can borrow capital without collateral up to 200 million VND from the province's employment capital source. Having access to capital with an interest rate equal to the loan interest rate for near-poor households has helped many families realize their dream of exporting labor and becoming rich legitimately.

According to Resolution 07 of the Provincial People's Council, up to now, in Phuc Yen city, 12 people have had access to preferential loans to work abroad and this number will continue to increase as many people are completing procedures to leave the country. On the side of the Social Policy Bank, it has also stepped up propaganda, prioritized resources, and created the best conditions for people to easily access this loan.
