More than 50 members were trained in video production skills and AI applications for electronic newspapers on mobile devices.

(CLO) From March 22-23, the Center for Journalism Training - Vietnam Journalists Association in collaboration with Thai Nguyen Provincial Journalists Association organized a training course with the topic "Video production skills and AI applications for electronic newspapers on mobile devices".


The training course attracted over 50 trainees who are reporters, editors, and technicians from provincial press agencies, the Central Press Representative Office, the Faculty of Journalism - Thai Nguyen University, reporters from the Center for Culture, Sports and Information of districts and cities, and trainees from Bac Kan and Bac Giang Newspapers and the CDC Center of Thai Nguyen province.

Within the framework of the course, students were introduced by journalist Hoang Duc Long, Head of Political and Social Information Department, Vietnam News Agency Television, to basic skills in using phones to record videos, notes when filming with smartphones, and practice editing movies on smartphones with software such as Kinemaster, Capcut...

In addition, the lecturer introduced the application of AI technology in journalism; how to use AI tools in data collection and analysis; assessed the impact of AI and challenges for journalism in the current period, and suggested installing some applications on phones to serve journalism work.

The topic "Video production skills and AI applications for online newspapers on mobile devices" is very suitable for the current technology development trend in the journalism industry. During the course, students will be divided into groups to discuss, exchange ideas and practice group exercises to evaluate learning outcomes.

The knowledge and skills imparted in the training course will bring practical values ​​to reporters and editors in getting acquainted with and applying mobile technology, as well as AI tools in their work. This is an opportunity for journalists to improve their workflow, from producing content quickly and effectively to optimizing multimedia journalism products.

The course helps students maximize the potential of mobile devices and AI technology applications, thereby improving the quality of journalistic works, in line with the increasing requirements of digital transformation in the media industry. These skills not only help journalists save time but also improve creativity and accuracy in their work, contributing to the development of modern journalism.

At the end of the course, qualified students will be granted a certificate by the Center for Journalism Training - Vietnam Journalists Association.
