Tay Phuong Pagoda Festival becomes national intangible cultural heritage

Tay Phuong Pagoda Festival in Thach That District in 2025 will be held from April 2-4.

This year’s festival is not only an opportunity for people and tourists to make pilgrimages and worship, but also has a special significance in preserving and promoting the value of national cultural heritage. With careful preparation and many unique activities, this event promises to bring impressive experiences, honoring the special historical, architectural and artistic values ​​of the oldest pagoda in Vietnam.

The festival is organized to promote the image and introduce the unique heritage values ​​of the Tay Phuong Pagoda National Special Monument; contribute to preserving and promoting the traditional culture of the locality; gradually improve the spiritual and cultural life of the people, and promote socio-economic development in the district.

In addition, the event aims to gradually raise awareness for generations of people to show gratitude and acknowledge the merits of generations of ancestors who have created the great and unique heritage values ​​that exist at the special national relic of Tay Phuong Pagoda; contribute to orienting the younger generation to contribute to preserving the fine historical and cultural traditions of the homeland of Thach That; promote the image, potential, and develop tourist destinations in the area according to Resolution 09/NQ-TU dated February 22, 2022 of the City Party Committee on "Developing Cultural Industry in the Capital for the period 2021 - 2025, orientation to 2030, vision to 2045.

To prepare for this important event, Thach That district is actively propagating, guiding and effectively implementing the Code of Conduct in public places in the festival space; ensuring absolute safety for architectural items, antiques and artifacts; not affecting the landscape and ecological environment of the relic.

In addition, the district has developed plans to ensure good public hygiene, fire prevention, security and order; and arranged conditions for disease prevention and control.

In addition, the Center also decorates the miniature photo area with products from the hometown craft village of Thach That such as trays, fishing nets, bamboo, etc. so that visitors can have beautiful photos, close to the people, the land of the special national relic Tay Phuong Pagoda.

In addition to designing miniature landscapes for tourists to take souvenir photos, in 2025, the Center will also build 2 youtube channels and a fanpage to update daily information and promote the image of Thach That in general and the special national relic Tay Phuong Pagoda in particular, to introduce to tourists and people to understand and know about this special relic.

The Tay Phuong Pagoda Festival 2025 is not only an important cultural and spiritual event but also an opportunity for people and tourists to admire and feel the value of national heritage.
