Ha Giang and Van Son district strengthen connection between import-export enterprises

Promoting economic and trade cooperation, creating a breakthrough to increase the import and export turnover of goods through the border gates of the two localities in 2025 to 500 million USD and sustainable growth in the period 2026-2030. This is the goal of the Conference on connecting import and export enterprises between Ha Giang province, Vietnam and Van Son district, China, in 2025, which was held on the afternoon of March 24 with the participation of comrade Hoang Gia Long, member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

Import-export enterprises of both sides signed contracts and memorandums of understanding at the conference.

  9 Ha Giang enterprises out of 11 enterprises participated in signing import-export contracts with enterprises of Van Son district in the fields of agriculture, industry, trade and services... This is an outstanding result at the Conference connecting import-export enterprises between Ha Giang province, Vietnam and Van Son district, China, which was recently held. Thereby, not only contributingto promoting the expansion of joint venture and association relationships but also opening up opportunities to sign contracts and memorandums of understanding on import-export cooperation between enterprises of Ha Giang and Van Son district in the coming time.

In recent times, cooperation between Ha Giang province and Van Son district has been actively implemented. The two sides regularly maintain and effectively implement established mechanisms for meetings, exchanges, and talks, creating close and friendly ties. Along with that, they have coordinated the implementation of many programs and events to promote trade, investment, tourism, etc., creating growth in import and export activities through border gates between the two localities. And through the organization of the Conference connecting import and export enterprises between Ha Giang province, Vietnam and Van Son district, China will support enterprises and cooperatives of Ha Giang province in particular and domestic enterprises in general in meeting, exchanging, connecting, and finding more partners.

Frankly acknowledge the limitations in import and export activities in recent times, such as: The value of exported goods has increased unsteadily and unsustainably, not fully exploiting the potential of the border gate system; Import and export activities mainly take place at the Thanh Thuy (Vietnam) - Thien Bao (China) international border gate pair, bilateral border gate pairs are operating quietly; border markets and traditional openings are currently still closed; means of transporting goods mainly carry out the transfer of goods at warehouses and yards in the border gate area, so costs have not been reduced... Therefore, at the conference, delegates proposed many solutions to strengthen the connection between import and export enterprises of both sides.

Promoting the connection of import-export enterprises in particular as well as strengthening cooperation between Ha Giang province and Van Son district in general is a vivid expression to concretize the "Vietnam - China Joint Statement on continuing to deepen and elevate the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership, building a Vietnam - China Community of shared future of strategic significance" that the senior leaders of the two Parties and two States of Vietnam and China have agreed upon./.
