Accordingly, Nghe An Provincial People's Committee recognized 24 4-star OCOP products, of which 10 products were re-recognized, 3 products were upgraded and 11 products were recognized for the first time.
Products that are recognized for the first time and upgraded will be granted a provincial OCOP certificate by the Provincial People's Committee, and have the right to use the OCOP logo and stamp on product packaging. Products recognized for the first time and upgraded products will be rewarded according to regulations.
Nghe An province periodically evaluates and classifies OCOP products to ensure that products maintain quality, meet consumer demands, and promote sustainable rural development. At the same time, it conducts annual inspections of OCOP products and proposes handling of products that do not meet the standards of the OCOP Program.
Up to now, Nghe An province has 712 products with 3 stars or higher (including 665 products with 3 stars, 45 products with 4 stars, 02 products with 5 stars) and 01 OCOP product with the potential to become a 5-star OCOP product.
In recent years, implementing the OCOP program, Nghe An province has synchronously deployed management and operation work; propaganda to raise awareness; training; building policy mechanisms; mobilizing resources for implementation.
The OCOP program has helped many agricultural and handicraft products of Nghe An increase their commercial value and expand their consumption markets. Recognition of OCOP products not only contributes to enhancing the brand of local agricultural products but also helps businesses, cooperatives, and production households have the opportunity to access major distribution channels inside and outside the province.
Along with improving product quality, OCOP product owners have focused on developing designs and packaging, ensuring conditions and regulations on stamps, labels, and product traceability. |
To find outlets for OCOP products, Nghe An province has paid attention to and implemented a variety of trade promotion activities, promoted the application of digital technology in communication, promoted the development of e-commerce for OCOP products through e-commerce platforms, online sales channels, direct interactive sales (livestream); implemented the initiative "Each farmer is a product".
