Phong Luu Khau Vai Market Festival 2025 will take place from April 22

BHG - The People's Committee of Meo Vac district has just issued a Plan to organize the Phong Luu Khau Vai Market Festival in 2025 with the theme "Khau Vai Day of Return". The festival will take place for 3 days, from April 22 to 24 (March 25 to 27 of the lunar calendar). This is one of the most unique festivals in the Dong Van Stone Plateau.

This year, the festival will take place with many rich activities, such as: Opening ceremony on the evening of April 22 at Meo Vac district central square with art performances imbued with national identity; national costume contest; cultural and artistic exchange; nightingale singing contest; rice cake pounding contest; unique folk games such as throwing con, playing swallow, throwing pao, climbing the pole to conquer love...

In addition, visitors also have the opportunity to explore the cultural beauty of the highland people through the space of Meo Vac night market, Mong ethnic community cultural tourism village in Pa Vi Ha village. Explore and experience the majestic beauty of the Stone Maze area, Khau Vai commune; take a boat trip on Nho Que river to see Tu San canyon; conquer the White Cliff on foot. In particular, the Love Prayer Ceremony at Ong Temple - Ba Temple, Khau Vai commune on the evening of April 23 promises to bring a sacred and meaningful space for couples in love.

It is known that Phong Luu Khau Vai Market Festival has a history of more than 100 years. On June 24, 2021, the social customs and beliefs of Phong Luu Khau Vai Market were recognized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage.
