Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission congratulates 79th anniversary of Vietnam Sports Day

Receiving the delegation of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission on the side of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism were Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Phan Tam; Director of the Vietnam Sports Administration Dang Ha Viet, leaders of the Administration and functional units under the Administration.

The delegation of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission visited and congratulated the Vietnam Sports Administration.

Expressing his joy when visiting and congratulating the Department of Sports and Physical Training, the Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission recalled the historic moment when on January 30, 1946, President Ho Chi Minh, on behalf of the Provisional Coalition Government of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, issued Decree No. 14 establishing the Central Department of Sports and Physical Training in the Ministry of Youth, officially giving birth to the Vietnamese revolutionary sports.

Then, on March 27, 1946, on behalf of the Government , he issued Decree No. 38 establishing the Department of Youth and Physical Education. On the same day, he wrote an article entitled Health and Physical Education published in the National Salvation Newspaper, calling on all people to exercise.

Reviewing those historical milestones, the Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department said that it demonstrated President Ho Chi Minh's concern for the country's sports and physical training, showing his concern and care for the people to develop comprehensively both intellectually and physically.

Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Vu Thanh Mai affirmed that the sentiments and concerns of President Ho Chi Minh have been inherited and developed by our Party. As for the sports industry, after 79 years, the industry has made great strides, affirming its position in the international arena.

To achieve these achievements, the Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission acknowledged the efforts of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Vietnam Sports Department, which have advised the Party and State on many directives, resolutions and correct orientations for the development of sports.

Once again congratulating the achievements of the sports industry in recent times, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Vu Thanh Mai emphasized that these achievements are not only the pride of the sports industry but also of all Vietnamese people and the country of Vietnam.

Recalling with joy the times when the Men's Football Team won the AFF Cup or SEA Games, people poured into the streets, from rural to urban areas, with red flags and yellow stars fluttering, or when athletes won medals at international competitions, the image of the national flag was solemnly raised, the Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department said that sports in general and football in particular have contributed to enhancing national pride and raising Vietnam's position in the international arena.

Sharing the hardships of the industry in general and the coaches and athletes in particular when many children have to sacrifice their childhood to train hard to become talented, the Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department hopes that in the coming time, with the attention of the Party and State, the industry will inherit the tradition, strive to overcome all difficulties and challenges to develop even more strongly.

This is considered the leading training center in the country, contributing greatly to the overall success of the Vietnam Sports Delegation at international sports events.

The delegation visited and encouraged the competitive spirit of teams such as athletics, shooting, and archery.

Looking back at the glorious journey of the sports industry over the past 79 years, the Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission affirmed that the entire industry can be proud of its contributions to the process of building and defending the Fatherland.

With 66 years of construction and development of the National High-Level Athletes Training Center, the Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission acknowledged that the Center has made many contributions and achieved many achievements, and has been awarded many noble awards by the Party and State such as the Second and Third Class Independence Medals; Labor Medals of First, Second and Third Classes, Government Emulation Flags, and Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister.

Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Vu Thanh Mai emphasized that in recent years, Vietnamese sports have made strong strides, achieved many achievements, and won many more victories at the SEA Games, Asian Games and Olympics. This is also a period marking the success of sports such as football, shooting, athletics, swimming... which have contributed to raising Vietnam's position in the international arena.

Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Vu Thanh Mai emphasized that in recent years, Vietnamese sports have made strong strides and achieved many successes.

To achieve these successes, in addition to the attention of the Party and State, there are the tireless efforts and struggles. Behind each medal are the sweat, tears and sacrifices of the officials, coaches, experts and athletes.

Appreciating the Center's contributions as a place to train and produce Vietnamese sports talents, the Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department hopes that the Center will continue to inherit the tradition and continue to achieve more glorious achievements.

Mr. Vu Thanh Mai also advised the coaches and athletes to always persevere and make constant efforts because every drop of sweat today will be tomorrow's glory. Therefore, athletes need to maintain their will, desire to win and always maintain the spirit of honest and noble sportsmanship because sports are a symbol of the will, determination and spirit of the Vietnamese people.

To achieve more achievements, the Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission hopes that the Center in particular and the entire sports industry in general need to continue to effectively implement Conclusion 70 of the Politburo on sports development in the new period, the Strategy for Vietnam's Sports Development to 2030, with a vision to 2045.
