Maintain stability of public service units

Similar to other district-level localities in the province, the overall project to innovate and reorganize the apparatus of Bac Tra My district merges, establishes, restructures, and transfers functions and tasks for departments and offices closely following the direction and orientation of the province and the Central Government.

Accordingly, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development will be merged to form the Department of Agriculture and Environment; the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and the Department of Home Affairs will be merged to form the Department of Home Affairs.

The Department of Culture and Information was adjusted to be established with a new name, the Department of Culture, Science and Information, on the basis of receiving additional functions and tasks on science and technology from the Department of Economy and Infrastructure. The Department of Ethnic Minorities became the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religion on the basis of receiving the functions and tasks of advising on state management of religion from the Department of Home Affairs. The Department of Economy - Infrastructure became the Department of Economy, Infrastructure and Urban Areas after the functions and tasks on science and technology were transferred to the Department of Culture, Science and Information.

Meanwhile, the Office of the District People's Council and People's Committee and the Department of Education and Training will retain their names; at the same time, they will receive additional functions and tasks of advising on state management in the fields of social protection; children; prevention of social evils and vocational education from the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs.

Preliminary information shows that Bac Tra My has 9 management officials and civil servants of the district government who voluntarily registered for early retirement or quit their jobs to implement the policy of rearrangement and downsizing.

For public service units, at the end of 2018 and the beginning of 2019, Bac Tra My district has reorganized in the direction of innovation and streamlining, reducing 7 focal points of units and dozens of positions of management staff, concurrently holding accounting positions...

In addition to the schools, Bac Tra My district currently has 4 public service units including the Investment and Construction Project Management Board, the Center for Culture, Information and Communication, the Center for Agricultural Technology and the Bac Tra My Protective Forest Management Board. Regarding the specific associations, at the same time, there were also 4 associations, reducing 3 focal points.

According to the district's overall plan, public service units and affiliated schools will remain stable as they are now. In the coming time, the locality will continue to study and reorganize to ensure streamlining, effectiveness and efficiency; gradually restructure the school network to be appropriate and practical according to new orientations and regulations.
