Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra becomes Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Home Affairs

(Dan Tri) - The decision signed by Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh clearly stated that the Government Party Committee appointed Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra as Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Home Affairs, and Deputy Minister Truong Hai Long as Permanent Deputy Secretary.

The decisions of the Government Party Committee were announced at the first conference of the Party Executive Committee of the Ministry of Home Affairs for the 2020-2025 term, which took place on the morning of March 10.

Attending the conference were Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Government Party Committee Le Thi Thuy, representatives of the Central Organizing Committee, representatives of the Central Inspection Committee, and the Central Internal Affairs Committee. Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Minister of Home Affairs Pham Thi Thanh Tra chaired the conference.

At the conference, Director of the Department of Organization and Personnel Nguyen Tuan Ninh announced Decision No. 35-QD/Du dated February 19 of the Government Party Committee on the establishment of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Home Affairs under the Government Party Committee. The Party Committee of the Ministry of Home Affairs was formed on the basis of reorganizing the current Party Committee of the Ministry of Home Affairs and the grassroots party organizations and party members of the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, including 27 affiliated party organizations with 1,323 party members.

In Decision No. 39, the Government Party Standing Committee appointed Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra as Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Home Affairs. The higher-level Party Committee also appointed Deputy Minister Truong Hai Long as Permanent Deputy Secretary. The full-time Deputy Secretary appointed is Chief Inspector of the Ministry Nguyen Manh Khuong.

Decision No. 42 of the Government Party Committee appoints additional personnel to participate in the Party Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Deputy Secretary, and Party Inspection Committee of the Ministry of Home Affairs, including 17 people.

Recalling the context of implementing Decision No. 35, 39 and 42 of the Government Party Committee on establishing the Party Committee of the Ministry of Home Affairs under the Government Party Committee, appointing the Secretary, Deputy Secretary, and members of the Party Executive Committee of the Ministry, Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra summarized that the contents had been carefully and elaborately prepared before March 1, the official time of operation of the new Ministry of Home Affairs.

Accordingly, from February 28, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Ministry held a conference, agreed and approved many important contents.

First of all, the members of the Standing Committee discussed and approved the working regulations of the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee, and the working regulations of the agencies in 2025. The Standing Committee also outlined the contents of preparations for party congresses at all levels towards the new term Party Congress of the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra also positively assessed the implementation of the decisions and contents of the conference at each Party cell at the Ministry of Home Affairs, the most important of which is the transfer and merger with the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs.

According to the female Minister, the results achieved from the first days were extremely important. The units in the Ministry of Home Affairs after the merger caught up very quickly, with almost no gaps to immediately operate and carry out political tasks smoothly, without stumbling.

The Minister is excited and confident that the new Party Executive Committee of the Ministry of Home Affairs will closely lead and achieve all set goals and plans. Each Party Committee member is deeply aware of striving to excellently complete the great tasks assigned. These are tasks that, according to the Minister, are very heavy, but also very glorious.

In particular, the first thing the Ministry of Home Affairs needs to focus on is advising, developing and submitting to the Central Committee a plan to implement Conclusion 127 of the Politburo and Secretariat on continuing to reorganize the political system apparatus with the orientation of merging a number of provinces, cities, and mass organizations assigned by the Party and State.
