(NLDO) - Hanoi City Police announced the establishment of a Team to examine and issue road motor vehicle driving licenses, while Hanoi Department of Transport stopped accepting procedures for examining, issuing, and exchanging driving licenses.

Implementing the Party and State's policy of transferring the State management task of testing and granting driving licenses from the Ministry of Transport to the Ministry of Public Security, the Director of Hanoi City Police Department issued a Decision on the establishment of a Road Motor Vehicle Testing and Granting Team under the Traffic Police Department of the City Police Department.
Accordingly, starting from March 1, the task of testing and issuing motorized driving licenses will be assigned to the Road Motorized Driving License Testing and Issuance Team, Hanoi City Police Traffic Police Department. The Team has a number of basic functions and tasks, including organizing testing and issuing car driving licenses; receiving applications for changing and re-issuing driving licenses, and issuing international driving licenses in the city, etc.
At the conference, Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Quyen, Deputy Director of Hanoi City Police, requested that the Road Motor Vehicle Driving License Examination and Issuance Team deploy and organize activities effectively, officers and soldiers quickly approach and immediately start performing assigned tasks; deploy professional work in a scientific and effective manner to ensure that the examination and issuance of driving licenses are carried out continuously, without interruption, without affecting the normal activities of people and businesses. Promote guidance for people to use information technology applications, digitization, and reform administrative procedures to create the most favorable conditions for people.
On the same day, the Hanoi Department of Transport announced a change in the location for receiving and returning results of administrative procedures ("One-stop shop") and stopped receiving procedures for testing, granting, and exchanging road motor vehicle driving licenses.
Accordingly, from March 5, the department of receiving and returning results of handling administrative procedures of the Department of Transport (merged with the Department of Construction) transferred to the Tay Ho Public Administration Service Center Branch, floors 1, 2, 3 of the inter-agency building at 258 Vo Chi Cong and 657 Lac Long Quan, Xuan La ward (Tay Ho district). Administrative procedures related to testing and granting of road motor vehicle driving licenses were transferred to the Hanoi City Police for implementation.
Thus, the department of receiving and returning administrative procedure results of the Department of Transport at 2 Phung Hung (Ha Dong district) and 16 Cao Ba Quat (Ba Dinh district) will receive and process procedures until February 28.
The department receiving and returning results of handling administrative procedures at the district level is authorized by the Department to carry out administrative procedures for granting and exchanging driving licenses (including 13 districts, towns: Ung Hoa, My Duc, Phu Xuyen, Dong Anh, Son Tay town, Nam Tu Liem, Dan Phuong, Long Bien, Soc Son, Me Linh, Thanh Oai, Quoc Oai, Ba Vi) to directly receive documents until 11:00 a.m. on February 28 and synchronize data, hand over documents to the Hanoi Department of Transport before 2:00 p.m. the same day to hand over to the City Police.
