On the afternoon of February 28, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport issued an urgent announcement about stopping the issuance and re-issuance of driver's licenses.
Accordingly, this department will stop receiving applications for procedures to issue, reissue driving licenses, and issue international driving licenses on the National Public Service Portal and at the application receiving and result returning points of the Department of Transport, including: No. 252 Ly Chinh Thang, Ward 9, District 3; No. 08 Nguyen Anh Thu, Trung My Tay Ward, District 12; No. 111 Tan Son Nhi, Tan Son Nhi Ward, Tan Phu District.
People come to the driving license exchange point in Tan Phu district to do the procedures.
The return of driving license application results to people will continue until March 31, 2025. After March 31, 2025, if people have not received their driving license results, please contact 63 Ly Tu Trong, Ben Nghe Ward, District 1 for instructions.
People who need to issue, change, or reissue a driver's license or international driver's license should contact Ho Chi Minh City Police for instructions.
Previously, when the work of issuing and exchanging driving licenses was transferred from the Ministry of Transport to the Ministry of Public Security, many people went to the 3 driving license issuance and exchange points under the Department of Transport to complete the procedures, causing overload.
