TTC AgriS is committed to developing sustainable agriculture

At the ceremony, Ms. Dang Huynh Uc My and Ms. Susan Burns - US Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City discussed the commitment of TTC AgriS to always accompany the Government of Vietnam and the United States in enhancing bilateral economic, trade and investment cooperation, not only in the field of agriculture but also joining hands to ensure food security and implement ESG criteria (environment, society, governance).

The Chairman of TTC AgriS affirmed, “With the mission of pioneering in the development of circular agriculture, we aim to achieve Net Zero by 2035 to accompany the national commitment, actively contributing to the Vietnam - US cooperation relationship for an innovative economy and comprehensive development of society”.

Appreciating the vision and important contributions of TTC AgriS to the Vietnamese agricultural sector, Ms. Susan Burns expressed her wish that the company would continue to be an active member in the business community between the two countries and participate in deeper cooperation on sustainable agricultural development, science and technology as well as solutions to combat climate change globally.

In June 2024, Ms. Susan Burns led a delegation to visit and work with the Board of Directors and the Management Board of TTC AgriS at the company's headquarters. The delegation was particularly interested in TTC AgriS's "green" business strategy with the orientation of linking production and business activities with environmental responsibility and the overall health of consumers. This is one of the top priorities of the US Government in evaluating and investing in the Vietnamese market, especially in the field of circular agriculture.

This platform is the core to help businesses promote positive economic factors, while realizing the Sustainable Development Commitment towards Net Zero by 2035.

United States - An important market in international business strategy

As a leading multinational agricultural enterprise in the region, TTC AgriS leads the Vietnamese sugar industry with 46% of the domestic market share, as well as being present in over 50 international export markets. The unit owns more than 71,000 hectares of raw material areas in 4 countries: Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and Australia. Self-sufficiency in raw material areas including organic land funds is also a necessary resource for TTC AgriS to master the production value chain and outstanding R&D capacity, providing a diverse product portfolio including natural nutritional products with optimized crop value chains and expanded investment (including sugarcane, coconut, banana, rice, etc.). With core strengths in technology and a vision of creating a sustainable agricultural trade industry, TTC AgriS has successfully developed an integrated smart agricultural economic model internationally. This is an important foundation in the long-term vision of the enterprise, contributing to economic and social development and sharing achievements with stakeholders.

Also at the ceremony, Ms. Dang Huynh Uc My - Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of TTC AgriS met and talked with Mr. Justin Walls - Foreign Relations Specialist of the US Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City.

At the 55th anniversary of its establishment (1969 - 2024), TTC AgriS aims to continue to increase its commercial value chain in international markets, in addition to the key market of Vietnam. Accordingly, the EU and Americas, including the United States, are the key areas in the company's export market development strategy. The strong growth in market share in the United States is considered an important stepping stone in the process of joining the global F&B chain that TTC AgriS is aiming for, in order to quickly complete the revenue target of 60,000 billion VND by 2030.

Currently, the company's sugar and deeply processed coconut products have covered the US market with strict quality standards. Anticipating the rise of the trend of consuming healthy products, TTC AgriS is introducing coconut water and organic coconut water to this "difficult" market. Previously, the company optimized the value of high-quality coconut raw materials to capture the billion-dollar potential of the coconut export industry when the US allows the import of Vietnamese coconut shells from August 2023.

During a visit to TTC AgriS's factory and farm in Tay Ninh, the delegation from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (USA) exchanged modern farming and production techniques and supply chain control in circular agriculture.

As a provider of high-tech agricultural solutions on the basis of sustainable development, TTC AgriS always focuses on searching for and introducing advanced techniques to modernize Vietnamese agriculture, typically the John Deere mechanical machinery product line from the United States, exclusively distributed by the company in Vietnam since July 2017.

In addition, TTC AgriS is also proud to be chosen by the US Government as a destination to welcome many delegations of experts and students to visit the company's factory and model farm. Through these programs, the company affirms its contribution to the development of human resources serving the advanced agricultural sector between the two countries.

Through its continuous activities in investment, economic and trade cooperation with the US market, TTC AgriS hopes to contribute to strengthening the strength and dynamism of the bilateral relationship, while expanding sustainable development opportunities for national agriculture in the era of digital economic integration 4.0.
