According to the Department of Personnel Organization of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, as of March 6 after the merger, there were 717 civil servants, public employees, and workers (subject to the adjustment by Decree 177, 178) who submitted resignation applications. In addition, the Ministry also had 283 cases of resignation requests (if there is funding).

Of these, 596 people applied for early retirement (195 civil servants, 315 public employees and 86 workers); 121 people quit their jobs. Of the total 717 civil servants, public employees and workers who submitted applications for retirement, there was 1 leader of a unit under the Ministry; 6 deputy leaders of units under the Ministry, 1 person who is the Chairman of the Ministry's trade union; 65 department heads, 111 deputy department heads and equivalent units under and directly under the Ministry.

As of March 10, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment has resolved the leave of absence according to the provisions of Decree No. 178/2024 for 3 cases.

Speaking at the February meeting and implementation of important tasks in 2025 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment on March 11, Minister of Agriculture and Environment Do Duc Duy said that the Ministry has seriously implemented the Central Government's direction on developing and implementing the project to merge the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment. After the merger, no major problems have arisen.

In the coming time, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment will continue to reorganize its apparatus, including the requirement to quickly stabilize the organization.

The Ministry continues to reorganize the apparatus of its affiliated public service units; and reorganize the internal apparatus of agencies and units.

After the merger, the organizational structure of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment has 30 units (including 26 administrative units assisting the Minister in performing state management functions) and 80 affiliated agencies and units.
