On the evening of February 27, the 11th Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Festival officially kicked off with a performance of the latest Ao Dai collections by leading designers in Ho Chi Minh City. About 100 models and actors attended this warm-up performance.
According to the Organizing Committee, this year's Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Festival will take place over 8 days, from March 1 to March 9, with a series of 10 diverse activities at more than 20 locations such as: President Ho Chi Minh Monument Park and Nguyen Hue Street, Lam Son Park in front of the City Theater, Export Showroom from 92 - 96 Nguyen Hue (District 1), Bach Dang Park (District 1), Saigon Riverside Park (Thu Duc City)... and at historical sites, cultural sites, tourist destinations, and typical works of Ho Chi Minh City.

This year, the Ao Dai Festival will have more than 50,000 participants in the Ao Dai parade, more than 600 actors, models, and artists will participate in the performance with more than 550 Ao Dai designs by 53 Ao Dai designers. The highlight of the program will be the parade of 500 models in ancient Vietnamese Ao Dai to help visitors learn and preserve the history of Ao Dai from the early days and the transformation of Ao Dai over time.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Hoa - Director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, this year's Ao Dai Festival is also a meaningful event towards the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025). "The Ho Chi Minh City Ao Dai Festival over the past 10 years has contributed to the work of preserving, maintaining, honoring and affirming that Ao Dai belongs to Vietnam.
