The REVFIN project will be implemented from 2022-2025, by Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences (Germany) in collaboration with Nha Trang University, Ha Long University, Kien Giang University and partners in Vietnam, with funding from the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Resource Conservation, Nuclear Security and Consumer Protection of the Federal Republic of Germany.
The project aims to address the issue of discarded fishing gear in Vietnam’s waters, reducing the amount of unused, lost or discarded fishing gear, raising awareness to avoid gear loss for businesses, fishermen and fisheries management agencies, as well as society in general.
